Savannah, Georgia: During G-8 Summit, Local Residents Moved by Exhibition Exposing Torture of Falun Gong Practitioners in China (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) June 10 was the last day of the G-8 Summit. The
atmosphere in Savannah where G8 delegates and media stayed became relaxed, as
Falun Gong practitioners' activity in Reynolds Square downtown entered the third
day. The serene music, Falun Gong practitioners' meditation, and photo and
torture exhibition caught the attention of many media, visitors and local
residents during the G-8 summit. An officer-in-charge from the Savannah city government welcomed Falun Gong
practitioners. He said, "After meeting Falun Gong practitioners, I feel
that they are very kind people. Their arrival brings positive views to the
city."
Savannah Resident: Local residents are shocked by the torture
exhibition A Savannah resident, a professor at South Georgia University said,
"Falun Gong practitioners have been most eye-catching during the G8
Summit. I have come to the park several times yesterday and today. Their
activity is very orderly, especially the torture exhibition. It is
unusual and moving." He said, "It is worth noting that under the tight security of
the G8 Summit, Falun Gong practitioners could get such an excellent
location and hold such a large-scale activity with so many people
involved. They were so serene and peaceful. Falun Gong must have unique
characteristics." Bill, a Savannah Resident and an attorney, said, "Thank you,
Falun Gong practitioners for exposing the torture to Savannah residents.
We are touched by this exhibition." His wife added, "As Americans, we should safeguard human rights.
We admire Falun Gong practitioners' tolerance and courage. Thank you for
coming to Savannah. Good luck." Native American Chief: I represent all Native Americans in the U.S.
and am a witness to the most evil persecution A Native American Chief from Arizona sat five hours watching the
torture exhibition. He said to Falun Gong practitioners, "I
represent all Native American tribes people in the U.S. and am a witness
to this most evil persecution in human history. So are the Sky, Sun,
Moon and Stars. In the divine world, we live on this mother land in
harmony and peace. The persecution brings hurt and sorrow to my heart.
We wish the great divine nature to be with you and your country together
to end this persecution. Let's step onto the beautiful homeward
journey." Across from the G8 Summit location, several dozen Falun Gong
practitioners held a torture exhibition and exercise demonstration along
the only road to the City of Brunswick. The Wife of the Police Chief Makes a Cake to Express Appreciation The police chief of Brunswick showed up for two days and expressed
appreciation to Falun Gong practitioners for bringing such important
information to Brunswick residents. His wife made a cake for the
practitioners to express her appreciation.
