Practitioner Guo Zhaoqing from Yiyang City, Hunan Province is being held in the Second Detention Center in Yiyang City. Guo has been on a hunger strike ever since his arrest on May 24, over ten days so far.

Guo Zhaoqing's mother, Xiong Biyun is currently being illegally held in the Taojiang County Detention Center in Yiyang City; practitioner Guo Xueling from Yiyang City was arrested as well.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Shuqin was forcibly taken away from home by officers from the Yuhua Donglu (Eastern Road) Police Precinct, Shijiazhuang City, on the morning of May 15. Wang Shuqin, 48 years old, lives in the Railway Driver School dormitory building on Huaibei Road, Shijiazhuang City. She was arrested. Surveillance cameras had recorded her while going out to distribute truth-clarification materials.

Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Cao Jumei, 50 years old, a retired kindergarten teacher from Weihui City's Yarn Factory school, was reported by someone on May 28, 2004. Personnel from the factory's police precinct arrested her and confiscated Dafa books and Master's lectures, as well as the Minghui Weekly (newsletter from the Minghui/Clearwisdom website), etc. She is currently being held in a detention center.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Huang Fen, in her forties, is from Chengdu City's Institute of Nuclear Power Design. On the afternoon of March 13, 2004, around 5:00 p.m., eight plainclothes officers from the Qingyang District Police Department broke into and searched Huang Fen's home and then arrested her. She is currently being held in the Pi County Detention Center.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Wanzhen, a 60-year-old woman from Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province, has suffered persecution many times simply for practicing Falun Gong. She has been illegally sentenced to three years in prison for distributing truth-clarifying materials, but was released last year when her detention term had expired. In April 2004 she rented a small house. When she was preparing truth-clarifying materials at home, monitors sent by the police department discovered her. She was then put into a detention center. The perpetrators were Wang Huanwen, Qianjin Police Precinct chief in Zhaodong City and policeman Sun Lidong. Fifteen days later she was unconditionally released. Sun Lidong, though, threatened the home's owner not to rent the house to Wang Wanzhen anymore. Wang Wanzheng was forced into homelessness, and her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Wu Danan, about 40 years old, is an employee of the Material Section of the Jiang'an Vehicle Factory in Wuhan City. Before the Spring Festival she was arrested and taken to the Jiang'an District Brainwashing Center for inhuman persecution by Jiang'an District "610 Office" authorities, by lawless policemen from the Xinchunjie Police Precinct and by the factory's security section. She has been tortured for about a month by many kinds of methods during her detention. They punished her by forcing her to stand still for a long time, force-feeding and brainwashing her, and other abuses. Before the Spring Festival, under her family's strong requests, she was released and said to be "on leave." The brainwashing center authorities ordered Wu Dandan to return on the 8th day of the Lunar New Year. In order to avoid cruel mental and physical torture, she left home and lives a homeless life.
