By a Falun Gong practitioner in San Diego

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 23, 2004, residents of San Diego, California held the Sicilian Cultural Festival. Falun Gong practitioners from San Diego participated in the event and were warmly welcomed.

Introducing Falun Gong

The Sicilian Cultural Festival is an important event in the local community, and this was the first year that Falun Gong practitioners have participated. Several practitioners went to set up their booth, putting up banners and pictures. They also placed Dafa books and literature on the table. Throughout the day, several practitioners continuously demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises or sent forth righteous thoughts. Other practitioners explained the facts about Falun Gong to visitors and distributed literature. Some visitors tried to learn the exercises on the spot and asked for more information. Quite a few people told us that they'd seen Falun Gong practitioners in parades before. The event organizer told us that she knew about the Falun Gong practitioners from our participation in local parades and arranged a good location for our exercise demonstration.
