Ms. Yan Chunling from Harbin City is about forty years old, and she was put in jail at Heilongjiang Female Prison at the end of April 2004. Because she refused to give up her belief in Falun Dafa, she has been confined in a solitary compartment.

In June 2003, Yan Chunling was arrested at a truth-clarifying material production site. She was kept in custody at Harbin No.1 Detention Center, where she was forced to wear heavy handcuffs and shackles. She was then illegally sentenced to nine years in prison (she has filed an appeal). The detention center has failed to put her in jail three times since then. She is currently in very poor health.

Mr. Chen Xianglin (around 40 years old) is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Yinzhangzi Village, Bajianfang Township of Lingyuan Town, Chaoyang City. On December 31, 2003, he was arrested for putting up posters saying, "Falun Dafa is good!" He was detained from then until March of this year, when he was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. Another practitioner, who was abducted at the same time, was sentenced to three years in prison. Both of them are currently being detained.

Ms. Fu Jingying is 69 years old. In October 2003, police went to her home to search for the source of truth-clarifying VCDs, attempting to arrest her. Fu Jingying was not at home, but she was forced to become homeless and destitute in order to avoid detention. Local policemen, including Du Yi, are still looking for the old woman. They continue to harass her relatives, trying to force her children to reveal her whereabouts.

Chen Haiyu from Bonihezi Town and Liang Qingyu from Jiagonghe Town were followed while posting truth-clarifying materials. At around 8:00 pm on May 31, 2004, they were arrested by officers from Bonihe Police Substation and their homes were searched. They are currently being detained in the Jiutai Detention House.

Ms. Wang Yuxian is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Shangjiahe Town of Fushun City. She has been homeless and destitute for a few years due to the persecution. On June 7, 2004, she was arrested in Dalian City.

Wang Chunyu, former director of the Security Section of the Fertilizer Plant, suffered a heart attack. He had tried various medical treatments with no result. His doctor decided to operate. Before he began practicing Falun Gong, his yearly medical expenses may have exceeded 10,000 yuan [equal to the average annual income of an ordinary worker in China]. Once he began the practice, his illnesses disappeared, and he began to enjoy good health. Many people saw this and started to learn Falun Gong from him. He was recently dismissed from his work because he insisted on continuing the cultivation of Falun Gong. Without his income, his family is in a dire financial situation.

Huang Yanlin, from Dongxiaozai Village of Kaoshanzhuang Township, was reported while distributing truth-clarifying materials by Wang Ruilin, Party Secretary of the village. Kaoshanzhuang Township Police Substation detained him and sent him to Zunhua Detention Center. He has not yet been released.

On May 25, 2004, Feng Defu and some other policemen from Lengshuitan Public Security Bureau arrested practitioner Sui Yuxiang, an employee from Yongzhou Electricity Bureau. Her home was also searched. Several days later, another practitioner named Xie Zhongliang was also detained and her home was searched.

Ms. Zheng Yingchun, a Falun Dafa practitioner, has been forcibly detained in Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp for two years. On May 9, her original sentence was completed, but the labor camp refused to release her, offering various excuses and making up lies to extend her term by 50 days.

Ms. Wang Hongmei and Yang Bin were arrested in Suining City in November 2003. They are currently being held in custody at the Suining Detention Center.

Ms. Luo Shiliang is over fifty. She lives at Nanquan of Banan District. Because she insisted on continuing to practice Falun Dafa, she was sentenced to forced labor in 2000 and released in October 2001. On May 31, 2004, she was reported while distributing truth-clarifying materials. Policemen from Nanquan Police Substation arrested her. She is presently being detained in Yudong Detention Center.

At noon of April 9, Ms. Wang Xiuying, from Guaziping of Panzhihua City, was arrested by more than ten policemen. At around 7:00 am on the morning of April 10, she walked out of the Public Security Branch with righteous thoughts, but is now homeless and destitute.

In mid April, Li Yuande, from Wudaohe of Panzhihua City, was abducted.

On April 12, a female practitioner whose last name is Li was arrested. She is from Jinjiang Town of Panzhihua City. On April 10, Ms. Liang Shufang, from Zhaoziping of Panzhihua City, was detained. In April, Xu Langzhou was arrested. He is currently being detained at Yanbian Detention Center in Panzhihua City.

At around 8:00 am on May 18, 2004, about six policemen from Qian'an National Security Team broke into Ms. Liu Guirong's home. They forcibly searched her place and confiscated Dafa books, VCDs and other materials. Liu Guirong was taken to the detention center in Qian'an County, where she is being subjected to torture.
