World Journal: Minister of Information Wang Xudong Receives Subpoena in Chicago Wang Is Sued in the U.S. For Persecuting Falun Gong Practitioners during His Tenure as Hebei Provincial Party Committee Secretary
(Clearwisdom.net) According to a report from World Journal on June 23,
2004, Chicago Falun Gong practitioners said that the current Chinese Minister of
Information, the former Hebei Provincial Party Committee Secretary Mr. Wang
Xudong recently received a subpoena from Chicago court. He was sued for
committing tortures and seriously violating human rights. The subpoena requested
Wang to respond in 20 days. Recently, Wang Xudong arrived at Chicago to attend the 3rd
China-US Telecommunications Summit. Falun Gong practitioners sued him for what
he did during his tenure from June 2000 to November 2002 as the Hebei Provincial
Party Committee Secretary. The complaint pointed out that Wang Xudong did not observe the international
and the Chinese laws to stop or avoid Chinese government officials and the 610
offices from violating Falun Gong practitioners' basic human rights. On the
contrary, Wang allowed and supported this brutal persecution of Falun Gong. The
plaintiff is a Falun Gong practitioner whose name was protected by the court. Posting date: 6/25/2004 |
