San Diego, California: Practitioners Introduce Falun Dafa and Explain the Facts of the Persecution at a Community Fair (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 6, 2004, several Falun Dafa practitioners from San Diego, California attended the Rancho Bernardo Community Fair. They rented a booth to introduce Falun Dafa and clarify the truth about the persecution to local residents. Their participation was warmly received. The Rancho Bernardo Community Fair is an important local event, attracting more than 30,000 residents from around the area. This was the first time for Falun Dafa practitioners to participate in the fair.

Young practitioners from the San Diego Minghui School also joined this activity. They participated in the exercise demonstration. They also brought paper lotus flowers that they had made at Minghui School and presented them to other children attending the fair.

During the activity, practitioners took turns demonstrating the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts. Other practitioners distributed truth-clarifying materials and explained the facts of Falun Gong and the persecution to the visitors. A constant stream of people came over to learn about Dafa. Some people learned the exercises on the spot. Some expressed their wishes to go to practice sites near their home to learn the exercises. After hearing that U.S. citizen Charles Lee is still imprisoned in China, many residents said that it was really unreasonable and took the initiative to sign the petition requesting the release of Charles Lee.

Three days later, practitioners held a workshop to introduce Falun Dafa at the Rancho Bernardo Community Library. More than ten local residents attended. One woman said that after she saw how the practitioners' booth was very peaceful and contained a strong energy field at the community fair, she decided to attend this workshop. She said that she felt very good after learning the exercises.
