My Cancer Disappeared after Practicing Falun Gong

I am now 63 years old. I once suffered from esophageal and gastric cancer. I was a fruit merchant. I dealt with money the whole day and was addicted to doing business. Although Falun Gong practitioners often sent me Dafa truth-clarifying materials, my karmic relationship was not mature yet. I was not able to recognize that there is a profound Great Law, and I obstinately held to my foolish ways. As a result, I missed the opportunity to cultivate in Falun Dafa back then. In August 2002, both of my cancers appeared. At first, I was not able to eat. Finally, I could not even swallow water. My family was very anxious and I felt extreme pain. My children sent me to the hospital. It turned out that there was a tumor in my esophagus, and a black scar in my stomach. My cancers were already in the late stage and an operation would not help, but my children wanted to give their best attempt to save my life. They went to the surgery department to discuss my case with the director, Yang. Yang responded: "That would be a major operation. We will need to ask a professor from Tongji Medical University to do it."

Thus I was sent to the operating room at 8 a.m. the next day. The surgery ended at 2 p.m. I stayed in the hospital for more than 20 days and then went home to recuperate. The whole process cost more than 10,000 yuan [the average monthly income for an urban worker in China is 500 yuan].

On September 10, a Dafa practitioner visited me and said a lot of consoling words. But I knew I was hopeless. Even after the operation I felt that I would still die. Later on, the practitioner told me of many cases of Falun Gong healing and fitness, the principles of healing and fitness, and he also taught me to do the exercises. Meanwhile, he gave me a copy of the book, Zhuan Falun and tapes of Teacher's lectures on the principles of Falun Dafa.

From that day on, I persisted in reading the book, listening to the tapes, and practicing the exercises. After several days, Teacher began to take care of me. Dirty things that looked like yellow muddy water were discharged with a bowel movement and filled a chamber pot. Through studying the Fa [law and principles, the teachings of Falun Dafa], I knew that Teacher helped me to purify my body. Since then, I never went back to the hospital, never took any medicine, and I never had any injections. I have been cultivating myself, strictly following the requirements of Zhuan Falun, for more than two years. My health is so good that I no longer feel pain in my back or dizzy in the head. I walk very lightly and my mood is happy.

It is Teacher's enormous graciousness and merciful salvation that rescued me from death and bestowed upon me a second life. How could it be possible for me to be alive without learning Falun Dafa? I used to suffer from two kinds of cancer. How could I have survived without Dafa?

Therefore, I have extreme gratitude towards Teacher for saving my life. I must practice openly and aboveboard. I must treasure my life, totally forget my selfishness, think little of all lusts and desires, and let go of all attachments. I recognize that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is the supreme universal law. As a result, I have thoroughly changed my outlook on life and the world. Thank you, Teacher.
