Practitioner Ms. Feng Xiaomin from Shijiazhuang City, Dies After Being Forced to Leave Home to Avoid Persecution; Her Brother-in-Law is Tortured to Death
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Feng Xiaomin suffered
severe persecution for practicing Falun Gong. She was forced to leave home to
avoid the relentless harassment and constant threat of arbitrary arrest by the
authorities. Under enormous mental pressure, her health deteriorated and she
passed away on June 1, 2004. Ms. Feng Xiaomin, 34 years old, from Yi'an County, Heilongjiang Province, was
a graduate from the Qiqihar Normal University and had worked in the No. 6
Shijiazhuang Textile Mill and Shijiazhuang Tallow Chemical Factory. In 2001, officers and security personnel from the Donghualu Police Station
illegally arrested Ms. Feng Xiaomin while she was posting Falun Gong
truth-clarification information. While detained at Shijiazhuang's First
Detention Center, Ms. Feng went on a hunger strike for almost a month to protest
the persecution. Even though she was extremely weak, the political head of the
police station at that time still had her registered to do forced labor. Later
on, seeing that Ms. Feng was on the brink of death, the police took her back
from the detention center. They kept her in the station for another 24 hours and
then released her after they extorted over 100 Yuan (1) from her family members.
Soon after Ms. Feng returned home, she and her husband realized their ordeal was
not over and they had to leave home and live in different places in order to
avoid the relentless harassment and constant threats of arbitrary arrests by the
authorities. During that time, the officers and personnel from the "610 Office"
(2) of Shijiazhuang City often threatened and harassed her older sister, Ms.
Feng Xiaomei, to obtain information on the couple's whereabouts. The authorities
once carried out a secret investigation for almost two months. Later on they
appointed personnel from the Yuhua District Police Department to search for
them. The police even went to harass and threaten relatives in the hometown of
Ms. Feng Xiaomin's husband, to learn their whereabouts. Ms. Feng Xiaomin suffered enormous mental pressure and stress due to having
to live a long-term homeless and a difficult life, as well as endure the
constant threats to her safety and harassment from the authorities. She and her
husband had a baby in 2002, which added extra mental pressure in such a
difficult living situation. When the chief of the Yuhua Police Department
personally took charge of the search for them, he applied even more pressure on
the couple. According to inside sources, in May of this year, Ms. Feng Xiaomin suddenly
started to feel ill. At the beginning, she had a fever and headache and her
whole body became lethargic. Later on, her state of mind suddenly became
confused and she went into a coma. She was sent to a hospital for emergency
treatment. Four days later, at 7:00 p.m. on June 1, 2004, Ms. Feng Xiaomin
passed away at the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Hospital. Her child is now only one year
and 10 months old and hasn't even been permitted to obtain proper residency
registration and identification. On the evening of October 9, 2003, the
authorities tortured Ms. Feng Xiaomin's brother-in-law, Falun Gong practitioner
Wang Hongbin, to death. His child was a junior high school student at that time. Ms. Feng Xiaomin's death heaped one misfortune after another onto these two
families. Previously, the two families had been relying on Ms. Feng Xiaomei's
income from doing temporary work. Now the two families have two elderly people
and two children to care for, which makes life even harder for them. They
couldn't even afford the hospital expenses and fees for Mr. Wang Hongbin and Ms.
Feng Xiaomin this year. It was fellow practitioners who eventually pooled some
money together and paid off their debts. Now the authorities in Shijiazhuang City are plotting to persecute Ms. Feng
Xiaomin's husband, Mr. Wang Xiaofeng. It was said that when Ms. Feng Xiaomin was
in a state of delirium, she was yelling out not to let the police approach and
persecute her. In today's China, the enormous and deep mental scars caused by Jiang's state
terrorism have left with people lifelong terrifying memories. Ms. Feng Xiaomei's home phone: 86-311-5811851 Partial list of the responsible individuals and work units: Shijiazhuang City "610 Office" and Shijiazhuang City Political and
