Clearwisdom Editorial: Hiring Gunmen to Shoot Falun Gong Practitioners Exposes the Criminal Nature of the Jiang Group's Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 28, in order to avoid having legal action initiated against him by Falun Gong practitioners during a visit to South Africa, Chinese Deputy National Chairman Zeng Qinghong apparently hired local gangsters to stop Falun Gong practitioners from approaching him at any cost. The resulting shooting has raised great concern from the international community, and this incident clearly reveals the criminal nature of the Jiang group's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

In the past 5 years in China, Jiang has ordered the policies, "Defame their reputations, bankrupt them financially and destroy them physically," and "any Falun Gong (practitioner) beaten to death can be counted as a suicide". Outside China, the state terrorism against Falun Gong practitioners has been purposefully and carefully covered up by the Jiang group. However, the shooting that occurred yesterday clearly depicts the criminal nature of this massive persecution.

Falun Gong practitioners believe in the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance;" and by directly opposing these principles and persecuting the practitioners, the Jiang group's persecution of Falun Gong not only harms individuals but also threatens human morality. From this incident, it has become evident the threat is not limited to China, but has spread to the whole world.

When state leaders stoop to hiring hit men in order to silence voices of justice, their desperation and fear is self-evident. According to Radio Free Asia, when a Chinese leader was visiting Germany, the Chinese delegation insisted that the phrase "Bring Jiang to justice" meant "sentence Jiang to death." This confused not only the interpreters from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs but also the Chinese people present. A German psychiatrist who participated in the event explained that this was a typical example of thoughts induced by a psychological state. It indicates that those who have participated in the persecution and those who are protecting the persecutors are very clear about the consequences of their actions in terms of international law.

It is this fear that made Jiang Zemin enter a Chicago luxury hotel through the rear door used for loading trash in the dumpster in order to avoid confronting peaceful Falun Gong practitioners; it is this fear that made the chief instigators of this persecution barter national economic and diplomatic interests to persuade other nations to block Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful protests. While more and more people have come to understand the nature of the persecution, it is this fear that drove the persecutors to hire gangsters to assault followers of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It seems that increases in the number of people that support bringing the persecutors to justice has gradually strengthened this fear and caused them to be so bold as to openly attack overseas Falun Gong practitioners.

We believe that this deliberate shooting of Falun Gong practitioners will let the governments of all nations, organizations and people all over the world further understand the criminal nature of the Jiang group's persecution. Facing the Jiang group's state terrorism, any compromise will bring endless problems and misfortune to a nation. For the sake of the peace and welfare of the world, let's expose this crime of state terrorism worldwide. We must put an end to this evil.
