(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Ou Keshun was born in 1962 in Songyu Village, Wangcheng Township, Linli County. On the morning of January 20, 2001, while being unlawfully detained, he protested with a hunger strike. Police officers coerced detained drug addicts to torture him until he vomited blood and died at the Changde City Drug Addiction Center. His two children lost their beloved dad forever.

Ou started practicing Falun Gong early in 1998. Before he practiced Falun Gong, he was a leukemia patient. Because of the chemotherapy, he lost his hair and eyebrows, and was left with only skin and bones. He had borrowed tens of thousands of yuan (1) to pay medical expenses and became a big burden to his family and relatives. One day a kind doctor told him, "Our hospital cannot cure you. I heard that someone cured their rare and difficult diseases through practicing Falun Gong, so please go look for and read the book Zhuan Falun. Maybe you can be saved." Having run out of options, he took some medicine home from the doctor and tried many ways to ask about Falun Gong. Finally, he found the book Zhuan Falun, and started practicing Falun Gong. Since then he has followed the Falun Gong principles of "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance," and tries his best to improve his virtue and kindness. In a very short time, both his mind and body were purified. He received marvelous benefits through the practice. He turned from a desperate, hot-tempered person to a kind and smiling person. He used to beat his wife, but after learning Falun Gong he took the initiative to do family chores, and became very kind to his wife. His wife's worried look turned to happiness. He also taught his two daughters to follow the teachings of "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" and to be good people all the time.

Once, his wife picked up a leather bag at the Village Clinic. There was 80 yuan cash and some receipts and checks. Ou said to his wife, "We are Dafa practitioners; we cannot take it as ours." So he returned the bag to the owner based on the address on the receipts by taking a ferry to cross a river and walking for several miles. The owner wanted to give him a reward. Ou refused and said, "If I take your money, then I need not have returned the bag. If you want to show gratitude, you should thank Dafa because it's Dafa that asked me to do that. Had I not practiced Dafa, I may not have returned the bag to you. So I'll be very happy if you just remember that Dafa is good."

Before he practiced Falun Gong, he had disagreements with neighbors because of his bad temper. He had no contact with his neighbors for several years. After practicing Falun Gong, he apologized to the neighbors by going to their homes. So the relationship with the neighbors became harmonious. Only three months after he started practicing Falun Gong, he regained his good health and even started farm work including the strenuous harvesting and planting work. He has never needed any medicine since that time and he looks totally different. It's really a miracle.

When Jiang's regime started persecuting Falun Gong, Ou decided to prove Dafa is good to the government with his own experience. On April 14, 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal with fellow practitioners, but got separated from them at the exit of the Beijing Railway Station. He was detained by the Beijing Railway Station Detention Center, and was escorted back to Linli and was detained at the Jinniugang Detention Center. Since he recited Dafa articles, police officers defamed him by saying he had mental problems and tortured him cruelly. The whole detention center heard his cries of pains when he was beaten. He suffered a lot both physically and mentally.

On January 12, 2001, officials from Changde City organized a brainwashing session. Police officer Yang Feng from the Linli Public Security Bureau lied to him to get him to the Changde Drug Addiction Center and had him detained there. At that time, there were over 40 Dafa practitioners from other counties detained there. Detained practitioners who are from Linli County include Fu Jianping from the Industrial and Commercial Bank, Zhang Jinwen and Qi Kaixiang from the County capital town's First Middle School. Back then, the Changde City "610 Office" (2) and a focus group from the political and judiciary committee coerced Falun Gong practitioners to give up their belief with threats and intimidation.

When facing brutal force and pressure, he had been keeping a compassionate mind while suffering. Since he would not give up, Liu, the deputy head of the focus group beat him. To protest the brutal violation of his basic rights, Ou protested with a peaceful hunger strike. The "610 Office" detained Ou with drug addicts, and coerced drug addicts to torture him. According to witnesses, the beating caused Ou's lips to swell so they could not close. He suffered chest pains, and was too weak to stand up. On the eighth night of his detention, Ou was beaten until he vomited blood, and painfully died inside the Changde Drug Addict Center. To cover up the true cause of death, while Ou's family members did not all get a chance to come to pay him a last visit, the "610 Office" ordered that Ou be cremated in Chengde City.

One can see from this case that a patient on the verge of death recovered by practicing Falun Gong, but was tortured to death only because he would not give up his belief. We hope all people can learn the truth of the persecution and the truth about Dafa, so not to be cheated by lies spread by Jiang's media. Please help stop this insane and brutal persecution.
