City of Irkutsk, Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners Rally to Condemn the Jiang Regime's Terrorist Act of Hiring Thugs to Shoot Practitioners (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On July 6, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners in City of
Irkutsk rallied in front of the State Government compound and held a press
conference to expose the Jiang regime's crime of hiring thugs to shoot
practitioners. Practitioners strongly condemned this terrorist act. Reporters interviewing practitioners The rally started at 11am and ended at 2 pm. During this period,
practitioners distributed Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials to passersby.
Many pedestrians stopped to view posters showing illustrations of torture
methods used to persecute practitioners and photos of the shooting incident.
Quite a few of them then took the initiative to sign their names to show their
support to Falun Gong. Before the rally, practitioners invited local media to attend this press
conference. As a result, two TV stations and several newspapers came to
interview the practitioners. In its news program of the day, one of Irkutsk TV stations reported this
event as its first news. During this report, a practitioner told the reporter:
"We hope to use this peaceful appeal to stop the Jiang regime's persecution
of Falun Gong." Another practitioner told the reporter that he was
violently arrested by Chinese National Security agents three times, "They
dragged me out of a car and covered my head with a black cloth bag." Practitioners have initiated a lawsuit against Chinese consul He Guoan.
Practitioner Nadezhda said that this official had threatened practitioners. Irkutsk practitioners urged the Russian government to condemn the Jiang
regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
