By a Philadelphia practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) Every year, the 4^th of July Philadelphia Independence Day parade attracts thousands of visitors from all over the nation. Through the parade, people can celebrate American liberty and cultural diversity.

Along the two sides of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, a sea of people filled the city of Philadelphia with excitement. The Falun Gong procession was the only Chinese group that represented traditional Chinese culture. Falun Gong practitioners performed the Lion Dance, the Celestial Maidens Dance and gave a waist drum performance.

   

The procession, led by three lions, attracted a lot of attention and won warm applause. Next, the Celestial Maidens danced and distributed truth-clarification materials to the spectators. Their flower baskets were soon empty. The practitioners said they added righteous thoughts when they distributed the materials.

On the decorated float, the practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises.

Some people immediately began to read the materials upon receiving them. Some asked, "What is Falun Gong?" "Is Falun Gong a Buddhist practice?" "What is the difference between Falun Gong and Tai Chi?" "Is China still persecuting this beautiful exercise?" "The float is wonderful." Many Chinese people also applauded our procession.

The waist drum section was the last part of the Falun Gong procession.

This is the third time that Falun Gong practitioners participated in the Philadelphia Independence Day parade. Through this window, more people experienced the beauty of Falun Dafa.
