(Clearwisdom.net) Since July 1999, Shanxi Women's Labor Camp has been a demon's den for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The head of the labor camp, Du Ping, claims, "If they are not transformed (1), they will not be allowed to leave." During the past five years, numerous practitioners have been persecuted and detained for extended periods of time.

Guards in the labor camp who beat Falun Dafa practitioners have suffered karmic retribution to various degrees, and do not dare to personally beat practitioners any more. However, they instigate and coerce criminal inmates into persecuting practitioners for them. The labor camp encourages these criminals with promises of decreased prison terms. At the same time, they penalize those criminals who do not dare to persecute practitioners.

For practitioners who are steadfast in their belief, there is a "strict team," which is led by guards and composed of drug-addicted criminals. The "strict team" tortures practitioners both mentally and physically. They use various methods, including sleep deprivation and squatting for long periods of time. The meals they serve consist of one third of a 100-gram steamed bun and lots of water. After the meal, practitioners are forbidden to use the restroom. Guards also try to force practitioners to say insulting things about Falun Dafa and the Teacher of Falun Dafa.

Practitioners who have been tortured for long periods of time lose weight and become as thin as sticks with scars everywhere. In order to prevent others from seeing this, the guards confine other detainees while these practitioners use the bathroom. Criminal inmates guard each cell to prevent others from seeing the terrible image of these tortured practitioners. In the middle of the night people can hear the heartbreaking screams of practitioners who are being tortured.

Falun Dafa practitioner Xin Enhao, 30 years old, has a college education, and was sentenced to two years in the labor camp because she practices Falun Dafa. In these two years she has remained firm in her belief in the practice. Criminals and collaborators (2) persecuted her, instigated by guards Meng Hao, Liu Zhongmei, and Liu. She has experienced severe hearing loss in her left ear and has become disabled do to the beatings. She is emaciated and her neck can hardly support her head. She is still being detained even though her two-year term has been fulfilled.

Dafa practitioner Ma Yueying from Datong City, Hunyuan County was sentenced to three years in a labor camp. She suffered various extremely cruel tortures. One time guards ordered her to stand for a long time, until her feet became swollen. They then stepped on her feet fiercely with their high-heeled shoes. Another time, guards tore a picture of Teacher off the wall in front of her, punched her to the ground, stripped off her pants, and attempted to stuff the pieces of the picture into her rectum. Ma Yueying sent righteous thoughts and the guards' evil behavior failed.

This long term and cruel persecution has weakened Ma Yueying both mentally and physically, and her life is in danger. The guards feared that they would be responsible for her death so they sent her back home.

(1) "Transformed" refers to practitioners officially renouncing Falun Dafa under pressure of the persecution.

(2) Collaborators are former Falun Gong practitioners who have turned against Dafa due to brainwashing and torture.
