San Diego: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in Independence Day Parades and Win Award (Photos)
By Dafa practitioners in San Diego
(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of July 4, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners
in San Diego participated in the 100th Independence Day Parade in
Huntington Beach, Los Angeles and a local Independence Day Parade in Scripps
Ranch, and then hurriedly went to Rancho Bernardo, the northern district of San
Diego, to celebrate the holiday with local people. Before the parade processions set out, organizers of the parade judged the
floats, and the Falun Gong entry won the second place award. The practitioners
demonstrated the exercises on the float, while their Fan Dance and Waist Drum
performances were enjoyed by spectators on the streets. Wherever practitioners'
contingent went, spectators gave them warm applause and requested Dafa
introductory materials.
