My Roommate Actively Shares the Truth about Dafa Now that He Understands the Real Situation

(Clearwisdom.net) Once ordinary people understand the truth, they will appreciate the magnificence and righteousness of Dafa. They will use every opportunity to let others know the truth about Falun Gong.

One of my roommates is from Taiwan. He became both compassionate and respectful towards Dafa practitioners when he discovered how practitioners remained persistent in their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance even in the face of being cruelly persecuted by the Jiang regime.

My other two roommates are from Mainland China. They are deeply poisoned by the lies fabricated by the Jiang regime. My Taiwanese roommate asked me in private why I was clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution to people so poisoned. He felt that it was a hopeless situation, and that most people would never understand the truth. I told him that we simply clarify the facts to people bit by bit, so that people would eventually come to know the truth. He seemed to understand, and gave me help and encouragement every time I went out to do fact-clarifying work or spread Dafa.

My Taiwanese roommate has more than a dozen classmates from China, and he is the only one from Taiwan. He asked them whether they knew about Falun Gong, and was scolded in reply. His classmates told him a lot of slanderous propaganda that they learned through the media. It made him realize how much the media was spreading lies. He would then tell me what he had heard from his classmates. I would, in turn, tell him the real situation and introduced news articles from the Clearwisdom website to him. From this back and forth communication, my roommate learned more about the facts. He tried to let others know the facts as well. He often brought up the subject of Falun Gong to the Mainlanders, and thus incited rebukes from them. He would also pretend he didn't know about the evil propaganda, and he questioned them about loopholes in the lies. He mentioned to them that Falun Gong has spread widely in Taiwan.

Once, my roommate invited four of his Chinese classmates to have dinner with us. He wanted to use this opportunity to show them the fact-clarifying VCD. However, later that night, he told me that his classmates had seen the VCD and were mad at him. I knew in my mind that it had touched off the evil in the other dimension. I told him not to be upset about the situation. At least they had the opportunity to know the truth. The following day, he came to tell me that they had a small group meeting and were discussing Falun Gong. Two of them took the VCD back and watched it again, and felt that the content of the VCD was credible. It seemed that there were two opposing groups among the students: one group supported Falun Gong, while the other was against it. I felt very gratified and happy for those who were beginning to understand. My roommate is just an ordinary person, but he has manifested his righteous thoughts and actions in letting others know the facts concerning Dafa. In doing so, he has allowed others to learn the facts and to be saved. He has laid a solid foundation for his own future. But this is not the end of the story.

Near the end of the semester, my roommate shared with me this good news: The previous night, all the Chinese people in his class gathered together and discussed Falun Gong. One classmate, a member of the Communist Party and well respected by everyone, pointed out that the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong was a mistake. Nobody, including those who used to be against Falun Gong, brought up opposing opinions anymore.

Changing from misunderstanding to realizing the facts about Falun Gong took seven months for those Chinese classmates. I can't help but sigh in relief to myself: The strength of righteous thoughts can make an ordinary person help others around him, and thus lay a good foundation for their future. One can see that persistently clarifying the facts is the key, due to the subtle strength it has in transforming others.
