Minnesota: Falun Gong Practitioners Introduce Falun Dafa at the Minneapolis Music Festival (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Around the Fourth of July holiday, an annual music festival was held in Minneapolis. Among all the exhibition booths, the Falun Dafa practitioners' booth stood out, with a distinguished style. Many people came over to talk with practitioners, and they took the truth-clarifying literature and signed the petition to support us. Some people even came to our booth several times and were hesitant to leave.

Because of the drive-by shooting that recently took place in South Africa, we tried our best to tell all people we met about this news. Almost everyone was shocked and indignant at the attack. Many people asked for the flyers that illustrated the South Africa shooting incident and that displayed the methods of torture applied to Falun Gong practitioners in China. A middle-aged woman and her daughter who came to attend the music festival expressed their strong indignation towards the Jiang group's act of terrorism. The woman said that everyone in the world should stand up and oppose these kinds of terrorist acts, whether or not they feel that it is related to them personally. She said an indifferent attitude would eventually hurt everyone. Unfortunately, some countries' leaders often would bend when their self-interests confront the freedom, democracy and human rights issues that they advocate verbally. She said that she would tell her friends and acquaintances of the shooting incident and about the persecution encountered by practitioners.

The event sponsors specifically came to our booth to conduct an interview. They carefully took notes about what Falun Gong is, about the persecution, as well as the recent drive-by shooting in South Africa. After getting all the information, they said that they would post what they learned in their newsletter.

As usual, many people were quite interested in learning the Falun Gong exercises. A high-school student came over to talk with practitioners. She said that she believed in the existence of higher level beings and she has been searching for this kind of information. She said unfortunately, the current religions did not satisfy her and perhaps this was what she was looking for. She took all the various literature and said that she would look at the Falun Dafa websites.

The festival lasted until late night after the fireworks show. Most people passed by our booth more than once and many of them stopped at our booth.
