Taipei: Falun Dafa Practitioners Collect Signatures Condemning the Shooting Incident in South Africa (Photos)
By practitioners from Taipei
(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday, July 10, as usual, Falun Gong practitioners
held group practice in front of the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, a famous
tourist attraction site. On this day, an eye-catching poster and a banner for a
petition drive was added. On the poster, photos of the Australian
practitioner's wounded feet in the South Africa shooting incident were showed.
Zeng Qinghong, one of Jiang's major accomplices in the suppression of Falun
Gong was visiting South Africa when the incident occurred. He is suspected to
have hired gunmen to shoot Falun Gong practitioners who planned to stage a
peaceful appeal against his visit. In order to inform people and join together
to resist the persecution by Jiang's political group and their strategy to
extend state-terrorism overseas, Taiwan Falun Gong practitioners started a
signature collection campaign which received wide public support. In the afternoon, some practitioners demonstrated the five-sets of Falun
Dafa exercises, and some distributed flyers explaining the facts of the
persecution. An elderly lady came over with her small granddaughter. The little
girl asked her grandma, "What is this?" The grandma said, "Practice will not
only improve one's health but also one's heart nature." Sunday evening is also
the time for Minghui school students to practice the exercises outdoors. An
adult said to his child, "One can freely practice the exercises in Taiwan.
Let's go there!" Then he took his child to the young practitioners' site and
learned the exercises there. A group of Japanese tourists passed by our booth. Looking at the posters,
the tourist guide introduced that this was Falun Gong. Japanese tourists
learned the persecution facts after looking at those photos. Then came a group
of tourists from Mainland China. They looked very nice. When practitioners went
over to clarify the truth, they said they already saw the posters in Hong Kong
and they were already aware of it. They were very pleased to accept and read
the truth-clarifying flyers. A lady who dressed very stylishly said that she
was not educated and unable to read the materials when a practitioner handed
the literature to her. The practitioner said that she looked very well
educated. She was very pleased with the compliment and accepted the flyers.
Practitioners further exposed the lies spread by the Chinese authorities and
asked her to read the flyers carefully. In the end, she said that she
understood it. An Indian gentleman directly came to our booth and asked what he
could do for us. When practitioners said in English, "human rights", he signed
the petition. When a westerner passed by, a practitioner said in broken
English, "Many Falun Gong practitioners were killed in China" and "Falun Gong
practitioners were shot in South Africa". The westerner immediately signed the
petition. There were also other people coming by and asking about the incident
and why it occurred and so on. After finding out the facts, they all signed the
petition in support of Falun Gong and against the Jiang group's atrocities. Practitioners also clarified the truth in detail, starting from what Falun
Gong is, how it has spread worldwide and how it is persecuted in China to the
recent shooting incident in South Africa. An analysis of the facts indicates
that the Jiang group is exporting its state-run terrorism to other countries.
If these acts of terrorism are not stopped, victims will not be limited to
Falun Gong practitioners. If we do not pay attention to this and do not work
together to stop the Jiang group's crimes, we will be unable to live a secure
life. Some people who had been indifferent in the past also signed the petition
after listening to practitioners' explanations.
