Extreme Brutality at the Longshan Reformatory: Female Dafa Practitioners' Faces Disfigured with Electric Batons

(Clearwis.dom.net) On May 6, 2004, the head of the No. 1 Brigade at the Longshan Reformatory of Shengyang City, Liaoning Province, illegally searched Falun Gong practitioners for articles and books written by Falun Gong's Founder. The same night, Dean Li Fengshi of the reformatory and Chief Head of the No. 1 Brigade used electric batons to shock practitioners in an attempt to discover where practitioners Ms. Fu Yanling and Ms. Yang Chunhua had hidden the publications. They refused to divulge this information and also refused do the forced labor. They were punished by being handcuffed to their iron beds in a standing position for several days. The head of the No. 1 Brigade, Yue Jun, Deputy Head Zhang Ning and Yang Min are the main perpetrators that persecuted these practitioners.

On May 7, the deputy chief head of the No. 2 Brigade, Tang Yubao, as well as leaders Jiang Zhaohua and Wang Jinchang, tortured practitioners Liu Jingzhi, Sun Yan, Jin Kegui, Liang Shujie, Wang Yu, and Gao Rongrong, because they refused to do forced labor and refused to make cheap black-market "name brand" products. They called the practitioners to the Duty Room, handcuffed them to the heating pipes and beat them. Even when they were enduring the torture, the Dafa practitioners remained firm in telling them the truth about Falun Gong. Among the practitioners, Ms. Gao Rongrong was shocked with electric batons by Tang Yubao and Jiang Zhaohua for over 6 hours (from 3:00 p.m. until after 9:00 p.m.). As a result, her face was swollen and disfigured. The wounds and scabs on her face were stuck together with her hair and blood. Her face was so swollen that her eyes could hardly be seen. Her mouth was heavily swollen and deformed to the extent that even the criminals in her cell did not recognize her. Later, Gao Rongrong tried to escape by jumping out of a window, but fractured several bones.

Ms. Jin Guike was shocked with batons on her face by Tang Yubao. This resulted in large burns on her face, severe swelling, and her eyes were bruised with open infections. She became weary and listless due to the tortures she suffered. When her mother came to see her, the police denied her visitation because they feared she would discover her daughter's condition. Ms. Jin cried out, "Mom! Mom! I want to see my mom!"

Ms. Liang Shujie was shocked with batons and kicked by Jiang Zhaohua to the point that she had difficulty walking. Sun Yan was also shocked with electric batons on her face, mouth, hands, feet and neck by Jiang Zhaohua and Wang Jichang. Her face was lacerated, her mouth was swollen and her hands and feet were burned. Ms. Liu Jinzhi was shocked with batons and kicked by Tang Yubao and Jiang Zhaohua.

The policewomen in the No. 2 Brigade that were involved in the persecution include: Chief Head Wang Jinhui, Deputy Chief Head Director Tang Yubao, as well as Heads Jiang Zhaohua, Wang Jichang, and Wang Chunmei.

On May 12, 2004, the labor camp sent Dafa practitioners Tang Yiqi, Wang Yu, Yang Chunhua, and Fu Yanling to the Zhangshi brainwashing class. With righteous thoughts, these practitioners were unaffected by their brainwashing techniques. One week later, the authorities sent them back.

The Education Department at the Longshan Reformatory was the place where police exerted great violence on practitioners. Li Fengshi, Dean of the Reformatory, personally participated in the persecution of Falun Gong. For those practitioners who refused to do forced labor and refused to have their photos taken, for example, practitioners Su Weihuan, Gao Rongrong, Sun Yan, and Feng Guifen, they were punched and kicked or even shocked with electric batons at the Education Department. Wang Xueen, Bi Yinhong, Ma Wei, and Jiang Yubao of the Education Department participated in this type of persecution.

Once a practitioner is arrested and sent to the Reformatory, he/she was first sent to the brainwashing class held on the first floor of the building. The primary brainwashing methods used included sleep deprivation and forcing practitioners to watch video clips defaming Falun Gong. In order to be promoted to a provincial level school, the Longshan Reformatory placed slogans on the walls such as: "Manage with scientific means and execute the law in a civilized manner." They use these slogans to cover up their inhumane and brutal acts.

We hope that fellow practitioners will send out more powerful righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors in other dimensions that influence the Longshan Reformatory. Eliminate the persecution, more thoroughly reveal their evil deeds and assist relatives of the practitioners detained there to go to the Reformatory to ask for their release. Stop the detention and persecution of kindhearted practitioners.
