Police from Changchun City, Jilin Province Torture Dafa Practitioner Mr. Jiang Yong to Death

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Mr. Jiang Yong, 46 years old, was from Xingfu County, Changchun City. On April 13, 2004, the police from the Public Security Bureau, Changchun City, abducted Mr. Jiang. He was then taken to the Public Security Hospital after being severely beaten by police from the State Security section. Later, Mr. Jiang was transferred to the First Detention Center, Changchu City for continued imprisonment. On the evening of July 4, 2004, the Detention Center informed Mr. Jiang's family members that Mr. Jiang had passed away. Mr. Jiang's family members were not allowed to see him.

In the early December of 2003, between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., policeman Fan Yongshun and four or five other policemen from the Xingfu Sub-Police station, Nanguan District went to Dafa practitioner Mr. Jiang's home. He wasn't home, so they broke in and illegally confiscated some of his property.

On April 13, 2004, the police from Public Security Bureau, Changchun City abducted Mr. Jiang Yong again. At the same time, Dafa practitioners Mr. Zhang Guibiao, Ms. Lui Xin and other five practitioners were also kidnapped. Three Dafa material locations were destroyed.

It is not known where the police held Mr. Jiang at that point. Later, Mr. Jiang was taken to the Public Security Hospital after being beaten. On April 21, Mr. Jiang was transferred to the First Detention Center (the Tiebei Detention Center), Changchun City. On April 26, Mr. Jiang's family was notified of his detention. During Mr. Jiang's detainment, his family members continuously asked to visit him, but the police refused. At 8 p.m., on July 4, the Detention Center informed Mr. Jiang's family that Mr. Jiang Yong had died of "a sudden illness after unsuccessful rescue attempts in the hospital."

At present, no one knows about the torture Mr. Jiang Yong had suffered during his detention. Officially, the police calls all death cases of tortured Falun Gong practitioners: "normal death," "suicide" or "sudden illness."
