(Clearwisdom.net) On July 17, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney, Australia held an anti-torture exhibition and poster display in the Town Hall to expose the suppression and atrocities implemented by Jiang's group against Falun Gong practitioners. In Town Hall and Hyde Park, practitioners held signature collections to condemn the shootings of practitioners perpetrated by Jiang's followers. Practitioners hoped that people from all walks of life would work together to stop the Jiang regime's state terrorism from spreading to overseas. The activities started at around 10 am and concluded at about 4 pm.

The torture methods displayed in Town Hall included forced abortion, hanging up and beaten, the "Tiger Bench", burning with heated irons and iron cage full of nails. Next to the torture re-enactment, practitioners peacefully practiced the Falun Gong exercises. The brutality of the torture formed a sharp contrast to the practitioners' serenity.

When a middle-aged lady saw the torture scene, she could not help shedding tears. She said, "This is inconceivable! This is horrible! Why would they treat these kind Falun Gong practitioners this way! I cannot watch for long because I'm unable to endure all of this." When practitioners handed truth-clarifying literature to her, she immediately expressed that she wanted to learn Falun Gong and asked about the practice site.

A western gentleman is a Christian. He strongly condemned the Jiang regime's atrocities and expressed his sympathy towards the practitioners. He said that he would pray for the persecuted Falun Gong practitioners.

Andrew, a young man, told practitioners, "What they have done are blatant state-run acts of terrorism. I'm very happy to sign my name on this petition. I hope that all of the suppression of Falun Gong practitioners can be immediately stopped."

An Australian lady did not quite understand about Falun Gong. She was not sure if the practitioners' appeal would work. Practitioners then related the facts of the brutal persecution going on in China. They pointed out that without voices of justice, without condemnation and pressure from the international society, the evildoers would be even more rampant in committing the crimes because they would believe that people don't care about this issue. This would be equivalent to tacitly complying with the murderers and their crimes. Furthermore, they are persecuting a group of good people who cultivate themselves in accordance with Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. Aren't they suppressing humanity's fundamental morality? Aren't they harming all kind-hearted people? After listening to the practitioners, the lady thanked the practitioners and signed the petition.

A Chinese lady raised doubts about the authenticity of the torture re-enactment. Ms. Tao, a practitioner of Falun Gong, told her that her two younger sisters are currently imprisoned in a labor camp in Beijing simply because they persist in their practice of Falun Gong. Her youngest sister was illegally sentenced to 8 years in prison and what was re-enacted here today was all real. The Chinese lady said sympathetically, "Oh, that's what happened!"

Two female students from China looked quite shocked while watching the display. Practitioners went over to explain to them about the persecution. They listened quietly and nodded.

Human rights transcend nationalities, and so do goodness and morality. During the process of collecting signatures, practitioners met many people and tourists from other countries, including France and Sweden. When they learned about the purpose of the anti-torture exhibition, they were glad to sign the petition. They expressed their desire to stop this persecution as soon as possible and wished the practitioners success.

In Hyde Park, after listening to the practitioners' explanation of the persecution facts, a young couple signed the petition without any hesitation. They told practitioners, "Jiang and his accomplices are crazy. They should not have used such horrible means to treat such peaceful Falun Gong practitioners. What they have done is ruthless. They have lost their fundamental principles of being human! It's true that they are implementing state-run terrorism."

Many people shook hands with practitioners and gave them a thumbs-up. They told the practitioners that the anti-torture exhibition was very good. It was a good thing to do and very important. Quite a number of people actively asked questions, signed the petition and accepted our truth-clarifying literature.

Being the middle of winter in Australia, it was extremely cold on July 17. The practitioners who demonstrated the torture methods were thinly clad and stayed in the cold wind for nearly 6 hours. Other practitioners actively related the persecution to passersby, including the South Africa shooting incident. Others who were not good with English or even didn't speak English quietly distributed flyers and collected signatures. They used their sincere hearts to call out to people to work together to stop the killing and persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Many passersby were deeply touched, and more and more people gathered by the display booth to sign the petition, take photos or request more information. The practitioners collected a large number of signatures.

The Australian people love peace and detest violence and terrorism. When they felt the practitioners' sincerity and goodness, they wanted to help and support practitioners from the bottom of their hearts. The kind Australian people gave the practitioners' tremendous moral support.

Over the past five years, Falun Gong practitioners have bravely faced the persecution with strong determination. They used their actions and were willing to give everything, including their lives, to uphold their beliefs and awaken people's conscience. More and more people have witnessed the beauty of Falun Dafa as manifested by the practitioners. History has witnessed the practitioners' persistence and sacrifices. Practitioners are becoming more and more steadfast and mature. The historic trial is upcoming, and Jiang's group will eventually be brought to justice.
