Calgary, Canada: Practitioners Condemn Jiang's Group's Act of Terrorism (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) At noon on June 29, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners in Calgary, Canada went to the Chinese Consulate in Calgary to hold a peaceful appeal, strongly condemning Jiang's group's act of terrorism in employing thugs to shoot Falun Gong practitioners.

On June 28, during the visit of Chinese Vice-president Zeng Qinghong and Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai in South Africa, Falun Gong practitioners traveling there to peacefully appeal were shot at on the highway. At least five gunshots hit the car, and the practitioner driving the car was shot in his both feet, shattering the bones in one foot, and the car was seriously damaged.

All signs point to this being an act of terrorism by Chinese officials.

Since July 20, 1999, the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China has been constantly escalating. In order to expose and stop the persecution, overseas Falun Gong practitioners have actively sought legal approaches and sued Jiang Zemin and his accomplices in several countries. However, under Jiang and Luo group's systematic plotting, and directing by Chinese embassies and consulates overseas, overseas Falun Gong practitioners have been subjected to serious harm both mentally and physically: violent attack, names being collected and placed on the blacklist, being followed and threatened, deprivation of rights, refused passport extensions and visa applications, and so on.

In Calgary, some Falun Gong practitioners once received threats from Jiang's group, such as being followed by unknown persons, having their phones tapped and harassed, practitioners' relatives in China being threatened and so on. The shooting incident in South Africa is Jiang's group's exporting state-sponsored terrorism abroad. Jiang's group has taken all possible means to persecute overseas Falun Gong practitioners.

However, Canada is a country of peace, the Canadian government has made great efforts in rescuing persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China. People with a sense of justice will not allow this terrorism. Calgary Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful appeals have won attention and support from some local governmental departments and officials.

Practitioners hoped that people with a sense of justice and conscience see clearly the brutal nature of Jiang's political group through this shooting incident, and pay attention to the escalation of the Jiang's group's hate propaganda and violent attack against Falun Gong practitioners overseas during these years, and stop its acts of terrorism.
