Washington DC: Touring Exhibition Displays Tortures Suffered by Falun Gong Practitioners in China (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of July 17, 2004, on the occasion that the persecution of Falun Gong initiated by Jiang Zemin has lasted for five years, Falun Gong practitioners from Washington DC and other areas across the United States began their touring anti-torture exhibition in front of the Lincoln Memorial. They demonstrated methods of torture currently suffered by practitioners in China including digging bamboo sticks into fingers through fingernails, tiger bench, dead person's bed, force-feeding, handcuffing, iron cage, pressing, electrical shocking, burning, and hanging up. The exhibition was accompanied by sound effects and explanation.

Lincoln Memorial is a famous tourist attraction. A constant stream of tourists from around the U.S. came to visit it. People were all shocked at the torture methods exhibited. Many people signed the petition to call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China. At least 5,000 flyers introducing Falun Gong and the methods of torture used against practitioners in China were distributed.

This anti-torture exhibition will tour around some of the tourist attractions and government offices in Washington DC so as to allow people to learn more about the various methods of torture currently suffered by Falun Gong practitioners in China.
