Korea: Despite Rain, Practitioners Hold Grand Parade to Introduce Falun Dafa and Expose the Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) At the time of the fifth "July 20," in order to
more comprehensively and thoroughly validate Dafa, clarify the truth and expose
Jiang group's atrocities to more people, more than 500 Korean Falun Dafa
practitioners held grand parades in Seoul and Ansan respectively on July 17,
2004. After sending forth righteous thoughts at 1:00 p.m., the parade set off. It
was led by a float, and eight practitioners wearing tradition Korean costume and
holding two huge Falun emblems marched in front. A banner team followed them.
The colorful banner read, "Falun Dafa" and
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance."
The waist drummers joyfully marched in step. Their drum rhythm inspired
people with enthusiasm. A Chinese drummer excitedly told reporters,
"Today, all my family members came. My entire family practices Falun
Gong." Ms. Huang Xiaomin, one of the well-known Chinese swimmers also
joined the parade. She told reporters, "I'm very pleased to attend
this activity because cultivating Falun Gong truly enables me to have good
health. Now I'm energetic to do my work. I'd love to share with people my
experience of practicing Falun Gong and I want to tell people: Falun Dafa
is great!" Following the waist drum troupe was a procession to introduce Falun
Dafa and a float on which the exercises were demonstrated. Practitioners
held various kinds of posters and banners to display the peaceful journey
of Falun Dafa over the past five years. Despite the severe persecution,
Falun Dafa has rapidly spread throughout the world and is highly praised.
No wonder two Chinese spectators sighed with surprise, "Remarkable!
Falun Gong is developing so fast! How would Jiang possibly be able to
suppress it!" In the last procession, practitioners held photos of fellow
practitioners who have died from the persecution. Accompanied by deep and
solemn music, methods of torture suffered by practitioners in China were
reenacted by real persons. Many Korean citizens could not restrain their
indignation and actively accepted interviews. However, when the reporter
interviewed a Chinese person, he said, "I'm sorry. I know that Falun
Dafa is great, otherwise there won't be so many foreigners practicing it.
But I dare not to accept this interview, because I know that Jiang takes
all measures to suppress people and I'm afraid repercussions after I go
back to China." This is a real portrayal of the Jiang's group in
Chinese people's hearts. Our activity has encountered various types of interferences. In
particular, the Chinese Embassy in Korea once again exerted pressure to
the related Korean institutions in an attempt to prevent us from holding
the anti-torture exhibition. Practitioners' strong righteous thoughts as
an integrated entity, especially, Korean practitioners' kindness and
tolerance deeply moved the Korean police. They did not only allow us to
stage an anti-torture exhibition but they helped us to maintain order all
along. The activity successfully concluded at around 7:30 p.m.
