(Clearwisdom.net) According to report from Chinese newspaper Mingpao
on July 18, about 60 Falun Gong practitioners from the San Francisco Bay area
staged a protest in the Garden Corner Park of San Francisco's Chinatown on July
17 against the Chinese Communist Party's five-year persecution of Falun Gong. One of the practitioners Ms. Kelley Huang expressed that July 20 marks the 5th
anniversary of the Chinese ruling party's suppression of Falun Gong. Up to
present, more than 1000 Falun Gong practitioners have died as a result of the
persecution. Over 100,000 practitioners have been imprisoned and subject to
forced "psychiatric treatment" to coerce them to give up their
practice. Falun Gong group in the Bay area held a photo exhibition to protest
and call upon the Chinese ruling party to immediately stop the persecution. The Falun Gong association announced that they would hold another photo
exhibition and candlelight vigil from 2pm to 10pm on Monday, July 19 in front of
the Chinese Consulate to commemorate their fellow practitioners who have died
from the persecution over the past five years and call on the Chinese
authorities to stop the suppression.
