Toronto: Practitioners Commemorate Fellow Practitioners Killed by the Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) At dawn of July 19, some Toronto practitioners brought hand-made lotus lanterns and sat quietly at the waterfront of American Park to commemorate the practitioners who have been killed during the persecution.

Mr. Zeng's mother was arrested for telling her neighbors about Falun Gong and then sentenced to 8 years in prison. To try to force his mother to give up Falun Gong, police gave her injections that damaged her nervous system. As a result, his mother is suffering from partial amnesia, can no longer speak, and she is partially paralyzed from the waist down. With the lotus lanterns, Mr. Zeng wants to send his mother three wishes:

Mom, when you were arrested for the second time and protested their unfair treatment to you with a hunger strike, the police was afraid that you might die in the detention center and allowed us to bring you home. Your body was full of marks of electric baton shocks and even footprints, and you had lost half of your weight. I couldn't imagine how you could endure such brutal torture. Now, however, I understand because I have started to practice Falun Gong and I will safeguard our righteous belief with you.

Mom, when you were arrested several times, fined, and our home were ransacked again and again, I couldn't understand you and said some words offending you and Dafa. Now, I understand you and I will redouble my effort in clarifying truth of Falun Gong and saving sentient beings. Mom, please rest assured. I will do the right thing.

Mom, I will try my best to appeal with other overseas practitioners to all forces of justice around the word so that you will be released unconditionally and reunite with us.
