Five Years of Illegal Persecution Undermines China's Morality

(Clearwisdom.net) Many people in Yuping County, Guizhou Province know of Zhao Youde. Before he practiced Falun Gong, he was a butcher and a local bully. Even the police couldn't do much about him. After he practiced Falun Gong, he changed into a completely different person. He knew he had done bad things before, and he strictly conducted himself according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance.

After the persecution began, Zhao Youde was arrested for persisting in the belief of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. First he was held at the Yuping Detention Center. One night, a very drunk man was sent to his cell, who went straight to Zhao Youde's bed and slept there. Zhao Youde had to sit by the bed for a whole night. The next morning, after the man woke up and left, Zhao Youde found that his quilt was soaked in urine. Zhao Youde just gave a smile and washed the quilt without saying a word.

Many Falun Gong practitioners were kind-hearted people before they practiced Falun Gong. But there are also people like Zhao Youde, who were morally corrupt before and completely changed after they attained Dafa. Businessmen no longer made money by illicit means; government officials no longer took bribes or held feasts paid for with government money, and they stopped embezzling money. Laid-off workers and other disadvantaged social groups no longer bore hatred toward society. Farmers voluntarily paid numerous taxes. Falun Gong teaches people that they will lose Virtue if they do bad things, and they will accumulate it if they do good things. Falun Gong also teaches people to cultivate themselves to get rid of filthy mentalities in this complicated society, to be better-than-good people, and eventually reach Consummation and return to their true original selves.

Certain people have always bemoaned the moral corruption of the Chinese nation, but they couldn't solve the problem. Although the Chinese rulers have constantly advocated "spiritual civilization," they themselves fought tooth and nail over power; they are the most corrupt! So, how can they help the populace to improve? Democracy and rule-by-law are good but if the people are corrupt, it would hard to put into practice. Falun Gong has truly improved people's moral standards and changed former thugs like Zhao Youde, which is nothing short of a miracle.

If the persecution didn't take place, countless Chinese people during the past five years would have started cultivation in Falun Dafa and tried to be better-than-good people. If that had happened, the moral status of China might have turned out completely differently. Today's China would be a pure land! By practicing Falun Gong, people saved the government paying for medical expenses and they would serve society with healthy bodies. At the same time, Falun Gong practitioners are tolerant and do not participate in politics, which is why they would never oppose the people in power, and this would only benefit the heads of state.

Nonetheless, a villain whose mind is filled with fear, resentment and envy started this savage persecution, which has lasted five years. During this persecution, the dictator instilled in the public countless lies and forced people to take a stand to support the persecution. When people are used to listening to lies and forced to speak false words that the dictator wants to hear, that society is filled with hypocrisy. Intellectuals who have certain rights to speak out and have public influence chose to be bought out by the dictator. Some intellectuals were indifferent about the persecution, and some even aided in the persecution of Falun Gong. In order to identify and arrest Falun Gong practitioners, Jiang's group, who claims to be "ruling the country with virtue," forces people to verbally abuse the founder of Falun Gong Mr. Li Hongzhi at train stations, bus stations and even in Tiananmen Square. All of this helped spread indifference, perversity and selfishness in the entire society. Jiang's group also held many brainwashing classes everywhere in the country, and abducted Falun Gong practitioners into the brainwashing classes. They even use whether these abducted practitioners smoke and drink to check whether the practitioners were brainwashed sufficiently. They try to pollute the mindsets of people who simply want to be good people.

In the past five years, morality in Mainland China has steadily declined, and the nation is facing huge disasters. The Chinese nation is crisis-ridden, with violent crime and corruption on the rise, all of which are the result of moral corruption.

Fortunately, the majority of Falun Gong practitioners have persisted in their belief of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, including some who went astray under the Jiang regime's violent brainwashing but later returned to the righteous path. These practitioners are putting on displaying the power of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance with their words and actions, and they use various methods to clarify the truth to people. Jiang and his followers are faced with total failure. We hope that people can wake up and oppose the persecution. We hope that they will resist lies, wickedness, and violence, and support Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance! Then the Chinese nation will have hope, and the Chinese people will have hope.
