Fang Fang was born in Chengde, a town of Hebei province in 1983. She was a good student with many virtues and a good record. However, an unfortunate thing happened as she grew up. In 1995, she contracted an incurable disease, and her spinal column became severely deformed. Her parents took her all over to various hospitals, but the doctors all told them to have the operation after she was grown up. Her parents were unwilling to wait, and they sought Qigong masters or folk medicine for treatment. It turned out that she didn't become well, and she became even worse. All the family's savings were gone and Fang Fang's spinal column became more and more deformed. .

Fang Fang was 15 years old in 1998. As the last hope for a cure her parents took her to the Beijing Air Force General Logistics Hospital, which is the authoritative hospital to cure spinal diseases. The response from them was that the operation would cost about 200,000 Yuan; and there was no guarantee of the results. The 200,000 Yuan was an impossible amount to obtain for Fang Fang's family. They couldn't even borrow 2000 yuan, let alone 200,000 yuan. Moreover, there were many cases of people becoming disabled after the operation. What could they do ?

During this time when there was nowhere to go to help Fang Fang, some good-hearted people introduced them to Falun Dafa and lent them the book Zhuan Falun.

Fang Fang was attracted by the theories in the book. It was what she was dreaming of. She was willing to do as the book suggested, to become a good person and to do good deeds. She quickly learned the five sets of the Falun Gong exercises from others.

Fang Fang then studied the Fa, practiced the exercises diligently, and handled herself according to the book. Her spinal column straightened little by little, almost imperceptibly, and she gained some weight. Afterward, she went back to school again. Her mother and father all smiled and talked to people who they met: "Falun Dafa has given Fang Fang a second life. Falun Dafa has saved my whole family."
