World Journal: Falun Gong (Practitioners) to Form "Great Wall of Courage" Friday in Washington DC
(Clearwisdom.net) World Journal reported on July 21 that Los Angeles
Falun Gong practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese
Consulate in Los Angeles on the evening of July 20 to commemorate those Falun
Gong practitioners who have died from the Chinese authorities' suppression over
the past five years. Falun Gong practitioners in Los Angeles and practitioners throughout the
world simultaneously held large-scale outdoor activities including group
exercise practice, candlelight vigil and anti-torture exhibition to raise public
awareness of the ongoing persecution in China. About 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners from across the United States will
gather in Washington DC and form a "Great Wall of Courage" on July 23.
They will line up along the downtown pavement from the World War II Monument to
the Chinese Embassy to form a 2-mile-long great wall to express their
condemnation towards the Chinese authorities' persecution and to display their
uncompromising courage and willpower. Posting date: 7/23/2004 |
