Radio France International: Great Wall of Courage Exposes the Persecution of Falun Gong
(Clearwisdom.net) Radio France International reported on July 23, 2004 in
Mandarin to the Asia-Pacific area, that according to AFP, several hundred Falun
Gong practitioners held a parade in Washington DC on July 22 to expose the
[Jiang group's] various crimes in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
The report said that the parade organizers hoped to build a "Great Wall
of Courage" from the World War II Memorial to the Chinese Embassy in the
U.S. Near the Memorial, people could see a banner that read, "Stop the
Genocide in China".
Organizers expressed that the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is like
the previous persecution of Jews by Nazi. A statement said that tens of
thousands of people died in the concentration camps during World War II.
Similarly, today, Falun Gong practitioners are beaten and mistreated. They are
subject to forced brainwashing and are even tortured to death. The statement
pointed out that a genocide is currently taking place in China.
According to Radio France International's report on July 24, the AFP news
said that on the fifth anniversary of the [Jiang group's] ban on Falun Gong,
several hundred Falun Gong practitioners held a rally in Washington DC to
protest the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
According to organizers, three thousand Falun Gong practitioners participated
in the rally and they built a "great wall of courage." The organizers
mentioned the persecution of Falun Gong in China in the same breath with the
persecution of the Jews by Nazis during World War II. With props and real person
re-enactment, they also displayed to the public the tortures suffered by Falun
Gong practitioners in China.
