Taejon, Korea: Candlelight Vigil Held to Commemorate those Who Have Died in the Persecution (Photos)
By practitioners from Taejon, Korea (Clearwisdom.net) On July 24, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners from Taejon and
nearby cities held a memorial activity at the Taejon Railway Station to mourn
for the numerous practitioners who have died from the Jiang group's persecution
in China since July 20, 1999. At the same time, practitioners exposed the
inhuman persecution that is still going on in China. The activity started at 7 pm. More people were passing by in the evening than
in the daytime. Practitioners took this opportunity to demonstrate the five-set
Falun Gong exercises. Meanwhile, a poster exhibition to expose the persecution
was held and a video program about Amnesty International's call for an end to
the persecution was also featured. In the end, practitioners lit candles to
commemorate those unyielding practitioners. |
