Japan: Practitioners Hold Candlelight Vigil in Tokyo (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the night of July 23 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners in Tokyo held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy and a nearby park to expose the Jiang group's brutal persecution and to commemorate fellow practitioners who have died of persecution.

Mr. Lu of the Japan Falun Dafa Association said that the persecution has lasted for five years since July 20 1999 and the persecution in China is still very cruel. He said that they came to the Embassy to hold the candlelight vigil, and are calling on the Jiang group to stop the persecution immediately. The practitioners hope more people will light candles in their hearts and bravely step forward to help end the persecution.

The practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts every half hour in front of the Embassy. Behind them, the banners reading, "Falun Dafa" and "Stop persecuting Falun Gong immediately" were hanging high.

Seventy-six year old Mr. Lu arrived at the site early. He said he wanted to show his support to Falun Gong and expose Jiang's group's cruelty.

The practitioners in the park sent forth righteous simultaneously with the practitioners in front of the Embassy, and read poems to commemorate the practitioners who have died in the persecution.
