Under Teacher's Compassionate Protection a Young Practitioner Comes Through Five Rough Years

Greetings to Master and fellow practitioners:

I am a young practitioner from Jilin City. I have been practicing Falun Dafa for six years. Before I started practicing I was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. We spent a lot of money on treatment but to no avail. Every time I had a heart attack the sweat would soak my hair as if I had dipped it in water. It would frighten my family members. The doctor said that with this disease I shouldn't get angry. So everyone in my household would listen to what I needed and let me have everything my way. Also, I couldn't engage in any stressful activities.

Since I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1998, my heart disease has gotten better. I remember once I was undergoing an elimination of karma, and I had a fever of 102.2 F. I was mumbling incoherently, but my mother sat by my side and read Zhuan Falun to me. By the next morning I had recovered. I knew that Teacher was taking care of me and cleansing my body for me. I would get up around 5 a.m. in the morning every day and practice the exercises with my mother. Then, after the persecution started on July 20, 1999, my mother went to Beijing with my grandmother and my aunt to appeal for Falun Gong. My mother was arrested and detained. My father let me stay with my neighbor because he was too busy at work. I missed my mother and often felt like crying. But when I remembered that I was a practitioner and that Teacher takes care of me, I would feel better. After my mother was released she went to the riverside in Jilin City to promote Dafa and demonstrate the exercises, and was detained again. They sent her directly from the detention center to a labor camp. My great grandmother on my mother's side became sick with worry over my mother, my grandfather and my aunt. Only my other grandmother was at home taking care of me and my cousins since both of my cousins' mothers were detained as well. She also had to take care of my great grandmother. My great grandmother passed away few days after my mother and grandfather returned home.

Since July 20, 1999, the police have come to my grandmother's house and our house to harass us. The police have disturbed the neighbors repeatedly. I wanted to let those people, who have been blinded by the lies, understand the truth of Falun Gong and to remember that "Falun Gong is wonderful," so I started writing letters. I told them about how my health has been transformed since I started practicing Falun Gong and that Teacher has given me a new life. I wanted to stop them from believing the lies that defame Falun Gong and to know that Falun Dafa is a righteous principle. Sometimes I would walk a few kilometers with my mother and go house to house to give out flyers. It didn't feel cold during the winter or hot during the summer; we only thought of bringing salvation to the sentient beings.

Over the last few years, I sometimes haven't done well during tribulations. Then I would feel regretful and vow to do better next time. Under Teacher's compassionate protection I have come through these last five rough years. From now on I will become even more diligent, do what a practitioner must do, and do it better.
