World Journal: Falun Gong Practitioners Gather in Boston and Expose Facts of Persecution (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) World Journal reported on July 29, 2004 that Falun Gong
practitioners held a rally to "strongly condemn the Jiang Zemin faction's hiring
thugs to kill people" and "public trial of Jiang Zemin" in Copley Square,
downtown Boston.
About 200 practitioners from Taiwan led by Huang Chunmei and Hung Chi-hung
attended the rally. They said that during the Democratic Party Convention in
Boston, the rally would draw attention of the international community and help
people know about the persecution and abuse of Falun Gong practitioners in
China. Yang Ruowei from South Africa talked about the shooting incident in South
Africa on June 28. She was in the first car on that day. Dai Zhizhen from
Australia talked about her husband's death due to torture in a prison in China.
Wang Yongsheng said that he came to the U.S. to study, but his passport was
cancelled because of practicing Falun Gong. Chen Gang and others said that they
had good jobs in China but were fired because of practicing Falun Gong.
