California: Practitioners Condemn the Jiang Regime for Hiring Gunmen to Shoot People (Photos) (Cleearwisdom.net) At noon on June 30, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners in
North California held a press conference in front of the State Capitol in
Sacramento and strongly condemned the Jiang regime for hiring gunmen to shoot
practitioners and extending their terrorist acts of brutal persecution of Falun
Gong practitioners overseas. The practitioners wanted people around the
world to know about the incident and called for the arrest and punishment of the culprits.

Falun Gong practitioner was shot in South Africa during the visit of Zeng
Qihong and Bo Xilai. The Australian practitioners planned to file a lawsuit
against the two people for their crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong in
China. Practitioner David Liang was shot in both feet and the bones in one of
his feet were shattered. The gunmen sped away and did not steal anything. A Falun
Gong practitioner witness said, "This is not an ordinary random shooting. It is
Zeng Qinghong hiring gunman to shoot us and conducting terrorist activities
overseas. He is attempting to extend the persecution of Falun Gong overseas."
Falun Gong practitioner Steven strongly condemned the Jiang faction for
exporting state terrorism overseas and hiring gunmen to shoot people. He called
for bringing the culprits to justice.
Practitioner Lu Hui said, "In China, at the beginning of 2002, the Jiang
faction issued orders to open fire on Falun Gong practitioners. Then there
occurred many incidents in which police shot Falun Gong practitioners in different
places in China. Police shot Liu Chengjun even when he was handcuffed and
shackled. Liu was one of the main participants in broadcasting
documentary videos on cable TV in Changchun. He was wounded seriously in
his legs."
On March 5, 2002, after Falun Gong practitioners successfully tapped into
the local TV cable system and broadcast the "Falun Dafa Spreading Around the
World" and "Self-Immolation or Hoax?" documentaries in Changchun City and
Songyuan City, a shocked and hysterical Jiang Zemin ordered the police to "kill
without pardon." The police around the country even wrote out death lists. The
head of the central "610 Office," Liu Jing, went to Changchun City to impose a
deadline for finding those responsible. Numerous Falun Gong practitioners were
illegally seized. According to sources, in Changchun City alone more than 5,000
practitioners were abducted. During the abduction and interrogation, several
practitioners were beaten to death. Those who were directly involved in tapping
the cable network and caught were tortured and sentenced to prison for as long
as 20 years. Mr. Liu Chengjun, who was a main participant in the broadcast, was
shot twice in his leg even after he was handcuffed and shackled. Mr. Liu was
sentenced and jailed in Jilin Prison, where he was tortured and abused until he
died, after 21 months, on December 26, 2003.
A Falun Gong practitioner shot by police Lu Hui also listed several examples of police shooting at Falun Gong
practitioners during unlawful round-ups. From these gunshot cases, we can see
that the Jiang faction doesn't apply law but state terrorism to Falun Gong
practitioners. The persecutors are afraid of practitioners' truth-clarification
in China and so they open fire at will. They are afraid of lawsuits overseas
and so they hire gunmen to shoot the practitioners. These terrorist activities
expose the Jiang faction's cruel nature and more people will join the protest
to end the brutal persecution.
On June 29 and 30, Falun Gong practitioners in North California also held an
anti-torture exhibition in front of the State Capitol to expose the Jiang faction's
brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners to passers-by, government
officials and tourists. The shooting incident in South Africa allowed more people to
learn about the Jiang faction's state terrorism. Posting date: 7/4/2004 |
