rallied in Montreal's Chinatown to expose the Jiang group's crime of hiring
gunmen to shoot Falun Gong practitioners during Zeng Qinghong's state visit to
South Africa. They condemned this act of state-terrorism and called upon the
public to be vigilant towards these kinds of crimes and their threat to Canada
as well as the international community.
This incident has shocked the public. Looking at the Australian
practitioner's injured feet in the photos, many people covered their mouths
with their hands and silently read the descriptions on the posters. Later,
most people signed the petition condemning the Jiang group's atrocities. They
expressed their support for using the legal system in Canada to sue the chief
perpetrator, Jiang Zemin, the "610 Office", and those responsible in
China's labor camps who participate in torturing Falun Gong practitioners. A practitioner said at the rally, "In order to suppress Falun Gong,
the Jiang group does not hesitate to apply state-terrorism and export it to
other countries. This is not only a persecution of Falun Gong, but it is also
a threat to the entire world. If the international community fails to pay
attention to this terrorist act against Falun Gong practitioners who follow
the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, the evil will inevitably
be emboldened and all people will live in terror. A professional photographer who fled China with his parents about 40 years
ago said, "I know the Party (CCP). They have always been lying. I know
about their persecution of Falun Gong." He said that his father, who
taught economics, was forced to flee China because he would not give up his
independent thinking and did not want to lie in accordance with the Chinese
authorities' requirement. Upon learning that the Jiang group would even hired hit men to kill people
overseas, and widely spread hate towards Falun Gong in China, a gentleman said
after signing the petition, "They probably would try to do the same thing
in Canada in the future as they have done in South Africa." A practitioner said, "All the people were friendly. Chinese people
were too. They quietly read the posters and then took the truth-clarifying
materials." One lady said, "Upon learning that the Jiang group hired
gunmen to kill Falun Gong practitioners, there are more Chinese people than
ever taking the truth-clarifying materials." A 40-year-old Chinese gentleman spent a lot of time reading through the
truth-clarifying materials and returned the literature to Falun Gong
practitioners, saying, "I read it through and would like to return this
to you. I don't want to waste your materials." Because a public activity was held near Chinatown, a large number of
western and Chinese people passed by. During the 3-hour rally, thousands of
people learned about this terrorist act and the facts about Falun Dafa.
