participated in parades in East York and Scarborough districts and were warmly
welcomed.

Gong
It is the third year that Falun Gong practitioners participated
in Canada Day parade. Generally, application for this parade needs
to be submitted by the required deadline. This year the
practitioner coordinator was busy with other work and missed the
deadline. The practitioner decided to try to apply anyway and went
to organizer's office. The organizer was pleased to see the
practitioner. During last few years, Falun Gong practitioners'
costumes, float, dancing and cheerfulness had left a deep
impression on him and the audience. He said that this time he
would place the Falun Gong procession in a most prominent
position.
Falun Gong practitioners' procession was led by a practitioner
holding a Canadian Flag, followed by banners that read, "Falun
Dafa is Great" and "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance",
the lion dance, gong and drum team, the fan dance team, the float,
the Tang Dynasty costumes and Falun Gong exercise demo team, the
flag team and the waist drum team. The performance was rich in
Chinese traditional culture. It was colorful and magnificent.
Young practitioners distributed truth-clarification literature.
Crowds of local residents and tourists stood beside the parade
route. They applauded Falun Gong practitioners and many were
pleased to accept flyers to learn about Falun Gong. Practitioners
demonstrated the grace of Dafa via music, dancing and exercise
demo, allowing more people to know Falun Gong.
