By An Overseas Dafa Disciple

(Clearwisdom.net) Noticing the discussions on Clearwisdom Net about the truth-clarification material preparation sites in China, I want to share my personal viewpoints regarding the human mentalities that I have seen while participating in projects. I wrote them down for fellow practitioners' reference.

There are relatively fewer safety issues overseas. A big project needs the involvement of a large number of practitioners as well as relatively more money. Although each involved practitioner will try to make the project go smoothly, it is still a huge responsibility for the project coordinator. This is the same as not irresponsibly spending the money donated by the practitioners.

When a project needs to be done, we usually first ask for help from those practitioners who are more active. However, once these practitioners take over the project, they may have to set aside the projects they have been doing. A better way is to encourage more practitioners to participate; otherwise, when a new project takes off, an on-going project will stop. On the whole, their may be little overall gain.

Looking at the issue from an even bigger scope, if the overseas Dafa practitioners can offer even more support for the truth-clarification efforts of practitioners in China, the impact will be enormous. Master has told us several times that, "The main body of Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples is in China." ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference") One example is that overseas Dafa practitioners have established various websites and prepared the truth-clarification materials. The number of people who can directly view the websites can in no way be comparable to the number of people to whom the practitioners in China give VCDs and materials downloaded from these websites. The most effective way is to help the practitioners in China.

Practitioners who have done a lot of truth-clarification work may get more respect from fellow practitioners, as they have many noticeable accomplishments. I have experienced many times that when my ordinary human mentalities and attachments were challenged, I, in turn, blamed others.

Studying the Fa is, of course, the most fundamental guarantee. When we study the Fa with a clear and clean mind, we will naturally be able to understand many issues and know how to solve them. Recently, I understood many things after I studied "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference." After going back to study Zhuan Falun, I have also have gained many new understandings.

While we are busy abroad in doing things to validate the Fa, I realize that the attachment that is most difficult to get rid of is of our assuming that we can play the role of saving sentient beings by doing more work. As cultivators, we should understand in our hearts that doing things does not equate to cultivation. Without letting go of human mentalities, we cannot achieve the goal of Dafa disciples cultivating during the Fa-rectification period. Master has very clearly told us this point, so I just wish to remind fellow practitioners of this.
