Police Station Director Who Had Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners is Diagnosed with Liver Cancer

Qiu Yuxiang, 40, male, is the director of Tongxinba Police Station in Dongxing District, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province. Since 1999, he has persecuted several dozen Falun Gong practitioners in the district under his jurisdiction by ransacking their homes, arresting them, and assessing heavy fines. Late last year, he was still threatening and intimidating Falun Gong practitioners who were recently released from forced labor camps and prisons. Early this year, he was diagnosed with liver cancer.

In early April last year, one male and two female Falun Gong practitioners from Huangshi City traveled 200 kilometers (around 125 miles) to the northern part of Qichun County to explain the facts about Falun Gong and distribute truth clarification materials. The village officials saw them when they arrived at Lishan Village, Datong Town. The officials asked Yin Jinke (suspected of being involved in organized crime), a villager from the second team of Lishan Village, to "take care of the issue." Ignoring the kind advice from Falun Gong practitioners, Yin Jinke, together with several other people, forcibly kidnapped these practitioners and took them to the police station.

On July 3, 2004, Yin Jinke's motorcycle crashed into a truck loaded with dirt at the intersection of the roads to Datong Town and Tanglin Town. Yin Jinke died at the scene.

Village head Liu Xiyao and party secretary Wang Zhiqing from Huangbei Village, Ciyutuo Town, Liaozhong County, Shenyang City, and village head Liu Shixue and party secretary Wu Lianfu from Huangnai Village, Ciyutuo Town closely followed Jiang's persecution policies to attack Falun Dafa practitioners and committed many crimes in the process. Right now, all four of them are in prison for corruption and embezzlement.
