Yin Guangde from Shandong Province Passes Away, Unable to Recover from Severe Persecution in a Labor Camp
(Clearwisdom.net)
Mr. Yin Guangde, 53 years of age, was from Lijiazhuang Village, Linqu County,
Shandong Province. He volunteered to organize the exercise site after he began
practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. He was very busy promoting Falun Dafa day and
night. He visited every place in the county and many places in cities such as
Jinan and Weifang. In order to provide volunteer services to people who wanted
to learn Falun Dafa, he bought books and materials, TV sets, video players, tape
recorders, and rented 5 rooms using his own money.
In 1999, Jiang's regime began to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners cruelly.
On April 25, Yin Guangde went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa at the
national appeals office. At that time the appeals office was completely
controlled by the police. People were not allowed to explain the facts of Falun
Dafa. The policemen forcefully escorted him home and placed him under house
arrest. There were people monitoring him in the daytime and there were policemen
guarding the door at night. He was deprived of his freedom and had become an
important target of the persecution. He was abducted and sent to brainwashing
centers and mental hospitals six times and persecuted severely from July 20,
1999 to the end of 2000. His home was ransacked many times and he was fined over
10,000 Yuan (1).
Yin Guangde was forced to leave home right after the Spring Festival of 2001.
He was abducted and sent to Changle Forced Labor Camp after living in exile for
6 months. According to reports, the guards used various methods to torture him.
They beat him, deprived him of sleep, and forced him to sit on the floor for
long periods. Later, they intimidated, threatened, and deceived him. He
eventually gave up Falun Dafa after he was tortured to the point of
unconsciousness. He was detained there with three months added to his term and
was released in July or August of 2003. When he got home, he was emaciated. He
said that he could hardly eat during his last 6 months at the forced labor camp.
He was released because he was weak from eating so little. In September, he had
surgery on his stomach.
With the help of fellow practitioners, Yin Guangde resumed cultivation in
Falun Dafa after he was released. He published a solemn declaration on
Clearwisdom, confessing the mistakes he had made and his determination to
practice Falun Dafa again. But the persecution he suffered at the forced labor
camp caused his health to deteriorate quickly. He was unable to recover and
passed away on March 26, 2004.
Changle Forced Labor Camp continues to do evil deeds. It strictly confines
Falun Dafa practitioners detained there and blocks the news from the outside in
order to brainwash and deceive practitioners. Though Yin Guangde has been
deceased for such a long time, Changle Forced Labor Camp still tells people that
Yin Guangde is doing big business at home and making lots of money. Letters from
the family members of Falun Dafa practitioners are strictly monitored. If there
is any information about Falun Gong or the persecution, they will confiscate the
letter or remove the sentence or the words so they cannot be seen.
Yin Guangde's Solemn Declaration
I was illegally sentenced to forced labor in July 2001 and was forcefully
brainwashed. As a result, I did a lot of wrong things and said many harmful
words against Falun Dafa, which damaged Falun Dafa's reputation and Teacher's
image, and helped the evil. Now I declare solemnly that all statements that I
wrote that were against Falun Dafa and all my actions against Falun Dafa are
null and void, and I ask that Teacher forgive me. I apologize to all of my
fellow practitioners whom I have hurt. I will completely negate the arrangement
of the old forces, firmly follow Teacher to the end, act with righteous
thoughts, and be a true Fa-rectification disciple. I will work hard to
compensate for the losses to Falun Dafa caused by my harmful actions and words. Yin Guangde December 10, 2003
