Family Protests 610 Office's Abduction of Northwest Industry University Professor Ms. Xing Wenzhen

(Clearwidsom.net) On the morning of April 8, a man named Guo Jian from the Public Security Department of Northwest Industry University called Professor Xing Wenzhen to say that someone from the Zhangjiacun branch office wanted to talk to her. Xing Wenzhen, therefore, went to the University, bringing with her documents and awards issued by various departments of the national government. She has not been heard from since.

It has been reported that Xing Wenzhen was sent to the brainwashing center in the guesthouse of the Lintong Power Company, where she has been completely deprived of her freedom, and her human dignity has been severely abused.

The public security department of Northwest Industry University is directly involved in this persecution. Northwest Industry University is developing a series of programs which are founded on humanity, excellence, and acceptance of different viewpoints. However, this university ignored its own employee's personal freedom and dignity by detaining this professor as directed by the "610 Office." This kind of incident should be condemned by all of society. We call upon all people of conscience to spread the word about this persecution and help to rescue Professor Xing Wenzhen.

At one time Xing Wenzhen was imprisoned in the Shaanxi Province Female Forced Labor Camp because of her strong belief in Falun Gong. After she was released, she wrote letters to the policemen in the labor camp to clarify the truth about the statements slandering Falun Gong found in the letter the labor camp wrote to its detainees. She also wrote frank letters to the People's Representative and the Political Assistance Councilor in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, in which she insisted that the constitution endows every citizen the basic freedom to choose his or her beliefs. However, the authorities imprisoned her in the brainwashing center for further persecution using the excuse of her persistent belief in Falun Gong.
