Mourning the Loss of Our Fellow Practitioner Yu Guizhen

(Clearwisdom.net) When the news of Yu Guizhen's death from persecution was heard, all her acquaintances agreed she had suffered an injustice. At the same time, her death brings to light the crimes of those who are persecuting Falun Dafa in Pingdu city, Shandong Province.

Fifty-five-year-old Yu Guizhen lived in Chengguan Office residential yard in Pingdu City, Shandong Province. After she began practicing Falun Dafa, all her illnesses completely disappeared. She was in good spirits, her character was open and clear, and she was warmhearted, generous, diligent, competent, and full of energy all day long. Her friends were even a little jealous of her new changes. Yu Guizhen strictly followed the universal principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance", and always tried to be a good person. She became considerate, and told everyone she met how Dafa had saved her. As a result, many people learned Falun Dafa from her, and also benefited. Jiang's regime, however, irrationally thought her goodness to be a threat to their power. She was illegally arrested, extorted, fined, forced to undergo brainwashing, and inhumanly tortured many times by the police in Pingdu City. Just as common people said, "The police ignore murders, looting, prostitution, gambling, and corruption, and instead focus on Falun Dafa disciples who are cultivating their hearts to be good, and their bodies to be fit and healthy."

Falun Dafa disciples distribute truth clarification material in order to clear away the poison imposed upon people by TV news and newspapers, which spread false propaganda slandering Falun Dafa and Teacher. Since the citizens' right of appeal was denied Dafa disciples, they were left with no choice but to clarify the truth in this way. Once people learn the truth, they will no longer assist with the persecution, and they will have a better future.

A gang led by the "610 Office" in Pingdu City abducted Dafa disciples who distributed materials that clarified the truth about the persecution, fined them between 200 and 20,000 yuan, and sent them to mental hospitals against their will or forced labor camp for persecution. With each act of persecution she suffered, Yu Guizhen became clearer about the evil nature of the persecutors and she strengthened her will to practice Falun Dafa, persisting in doing everything she should do.

In May 2002 by lunar calendar, she was illegally arrested. She protested the persecution by going on a hunger strike. As a result, she was savagely beaten by Shi Weibing and Yu Bin from the Political Security Office and the "610 Office." They intentionally hit her on the head. After a hard blow from Shi Weibing, she felt as if the room was spinning. She was dizzy, and her head felt as if it would split open from the pain.

Since Yu Guizhen persisted in her belief, the police abducted her to the Forced Labor Camp in Wang Village, Zibo City. There she was forced to sit on a small bench the whole day, then detained in a dark room, and finally locked in the restroom without food or water. Yu Guizhen endured all this without yielding to the evil persecution.

Finally they released her from the restroom, and called on the help of former practitioners who had been brainwashed and forced into assisting with the persecution. Yu Guizhen read them Teacher's new articles, and helped them to restore their righteous thoughts towards Dafa. In this way, not only did she avoid being "converted," but instead helped those who had taken the wrong path to return to Falun Dafa. The camp officials had no choice but to release her unconditionally.

The last time she was arrested was in August 2003 (by the lunar calendar). While clarifying the truth in a wholesale market, she was shoved to the ground by Dai Yugang, who punched and kicked her, and then abducted her. Since she firmly refused to cooperate, she was sent to the forced Labor Camp in Wang Village, Zibo City again. But the Labor Camp quickly refused, to accept her as Yu Guizhen refused to renounce her belief and had instead inspired those practitioners who had renounced their belief to come back to practice Falun Dafa. The police in Pingdu City were forced to take her back. Dai Yugang and his accomplices then came up with the plan to send Yu Guizhen to a mental hospital, though she had no history of mental illness and inject her with drugs to cause her to suffer a mental breakdown.

The gang from the "610 Office" sent her against her will to the Tonghe Mental Hospital. Since she refused to cooperate, she was tied to the bed, forced to swallow a handful of pills, and receive injections with medicines that are harmful to the central nervous system. This caused serious damage. She became listless, her mouth was distorted, and she drooled uncontrollably. She was drowsy all day, and often fell unconscious.

After seeing the shocking extent of Yu Guizhen's torture, her family went to great difficulty to pay bribes to bring her home. The police extorted 10,000 Yuan from them. After returning home, she felt extreme pain throughout her entire body, and one of her legs was paralyzed. It was so painful she could hardly move, and she could not practice the exercises at all, but the police still would not leave her alone. They frequently harassed and threatened her at home. Her husband was so intimidated that he dared not report their crimes.

Yu Guizhen, who was persecuted until she suffered a mental collapse and died on November 13, 2003. Her death resulted from the execution of Jiang's genocide policy by authorities from the the Pingdu City "610 Office". Had she not been repeatedly beaten, and forcefully injected with drugs that damage the central nervous system, would such a woman, full of hope in life and who enjoyed a perfectly happy family life, die? If it weren't for this unjust persecution, Yu Guizhen would still be alive today.

In the near future, the facts regarding the persecution of Falun Dafa will be widely known. We deeply mourn the loss of our fellow practitioner Yu Guizhen, while we hereby warn the perpetrators: "Justice has long arms. Stop acting as thugs for Jiang. Stop ruthlessly persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Leave yourselves a way out. It is known from ancient times that evil deeds will receive karmic retribution and virtuous actions will be rewarded. The murderers of Yu Guizhen cannot escape punishment by law and will be brought to justice."
