I am 63 years old, and I have been practicing Falun Dafa since January 20, 2003.

Before practicing, I suffered 10 years of diabetes and developed several complications including, heart disease, high cholesterol, hardening of the arteries, cataracts in both eyes, limbs going numb, and passing out from dizziness from time to time. My heart could not supply blood quickly enough, my hands and feet were numb and in pain, my nails turned dark, and I suffered constipation for long periods of time. In 2002, I had a cataract operation on my right eye. Because my blood sugar level did not go down for a long period, six months later my right eye had glaucoma and the operation failed. The nerves in my right eye were damaged during the operation and it went completely blind. My left eye only had a vision of 0.3. I often tripped and fell when walking due to my lack of clear vision. During the past 10 years, I took countless kinds of Chinese and Western medicines but nothing worked. Every day, I had four injections and I took medicine, but it did not help. Not a single part of my body felt normal. I could not eat or sleep well, nor could I perform housework. Words cannot express the pain I was in, and I had no courage left to live.

On January 20, 2003, just when I had completely lost all hope, I learned about Master Li's Falun Dafa from a relative, and this is what saved me. I understood the Fa (1) teachings to be a supernormal science. Falun Dafa is based on the characteristics of the Universe, "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance," and these are the principles that guide our cultivation. The purpose of living is to return to one's truth self, and Master Li came here to offer people salvation. I also learned the five exercises.

Three days into studying, I could feel Falun spinning on my body, abdomen, and legs. When I was practicing the Heavenly Circuit standing exercise, I felt that the energy in my whole body was circulating. At that time, I could not express my joy and gratitude with words. I felt that Master Li was taking care of me by giving me Falun and purifying my body. After that I became energetic and never took injections or medicine again.

After learning Falun Dafa for a week at my relative's home, I went back home. Then I listened to Master Li's recorded lectures day and night without stopping. I asked my spouse to read Zhuan Falun (2) to me and Dafa (3) was always in my heart. I studied the Fa, practiced the exercises, and sent forth righteous thoughts every day. When I was doing the exercises, my arms, legs, and the rest of my body were in pain. Sometimes it was so painful that I was in tears and I felt very bad. However, I kept Master Li's words in mind, "When it's difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it's impossible to do, you can do it." (Zhuan Falun) I broke through all of the tribulations. After I had cultivated for three months, the pain went away, my face turned pink and my diabetic symptoms were basically gone, and my nails were no longer black. When my friends and relatives saw me, they were all very surprised and asked, "Are you cured? No more illnesses?"

I still had trouble with my eyesight so I tried to use a magnifying glass to read the book and study the Fa on my own. At the beginning I couldn't see too well, but eventually I was able to see clearly. After I had read Zhuan Falun more than ten times, I did not need a magnifying glass during the daytime. Some supernormal phenomena started to occur: my left eye often saw Falun spinning, and my blind right eye often saw lights with different colors. My xinxing (heart or mind nature, moral character) was also rising continuously. I started taking things lightly at home, and in society. In terms of money, material interests, and other various matters, I also took them lightly. When I first started to practice the exercises, I could not reach tranquility, but slowly I was able to.

After I cultivated for over two months, I used my own experience to convince my spouse and my other relatives to learn Falun Dafa. Very quickly Master Li purified their bodies. They've had no diseases since then and did not need to take medicine. They started their own cultivation paths. Now they are also very diligent.

I have obtained the Fa late and my cultivation time has been relatively short, but Master Li also purified my body, gave me Falun, and arranged my path. It was Master Li who gave me a second life. I thank Master Li for imparting the Dafa and for revealing the true meaning of life. I can only use my genuine heart to repay Master Li, repay Dafa and diligently cultivate until consummation.
