Sixty-nine-year-old Practitioner Miraculously Recovers in Three Days after Refusing to Blackmail the Motorcyclist that Hit Him

(Clearwisdom.net) My father-in-law is sixty nine years old this year. He is just one of millions of people who practice Falun Gong. I am going to tell about an unusual event that happened to him.

My in-laws are retired textile mill workers. On the evening of July 18, 2001, they had gone to the head of a bridge, as many people who could not afford air-conditioning would do to enjoy the cool air after dinner in the hot mid-summer. My mother-in-law held her little grandson and crossed the street first. As my father-in-law was crossing the street, a speeding motorcycle was heading his way. He saw that it was coming very fast so he stopped to wait for it to pass by. But the motorcycle was unexpectedly driving directly at him and it hit him. His body was at first lifted up by the motorcycle and then thrown off, falling heavily onto the ground.

At that moment, there were many people at the bridge enjoying the cool breeze. A big crowd came to the site of the accident and many of them knew my father-in-law. They were all talking and tried to offer advice. The driver of the motorcycle was drunk with a strong smell of alcohol on his breath. He was frightened out of his wits. My mother-in-law heard a story from Mrs. Xia, a co-worker of theirs in the same mill, that her husband had been in an accident. She ran to the site and saw that her younger son had already rushed there and took the key from the motorcycle (he did not practice Falun Dafa at that time). People who were watching on the sides all said to him that he should get a few thousand yuan (1) as a deposit first and then send his father to the hospital immediately for an examination and so on.

My mother-in-law saw that the young motorcycle driver was helping to hold her husband up. She asked her husband how he felt. My father-in-law pressed the left side of the chest, then the right side, and thought that no bones were broken. He tolerated the pain and said, "No problem." Now the crowd got even bigger. My mother-in-law thought that it was a great opportunity to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. She said to the young man, "Boy, you are lucky today since you hit a person who is practicing Falun Dafa. Our Master taught us to be good people, so we will not blackmail you. But you have to learn your lesson and never drive after you drink. You should also not drive so fast. In addition, please remember that 'Falun Dafa is good.'" The young man nodded his head many times and said, "Yes, I'll remember." Then they let him go. The people who had gathered there had various discussions amongst themselves about the situation. Mrs. Xia was upset and felt it was so unfair. She said, "You will be in bed for at least two months or even three. You will suffer a lot!"

When they got home, my father-in-law could only lie in bed. He could not talk and he needed help whenever he wanted to move a little bit. Two days like this passed, and the third day after lunch, he felt even more pain than the first two days. He went to sleep very early. Half asleep, he got up and went to the bathroom. After he came out, he suddenly realized that he had gotten up by himself and no longer needed help. He was fully recovered after two and a half days of rest without spending a single penny. The night of the third day, he carried his grandson to the bridge to enjoy the cool air. Of course, he was a "famous" person that night.

This event had a huge impact on all the people who were present. They began to think about what they saw with their own eyes, comparing it to what they heard from TV propaganda. Which one should they believe? Mrs. Xia, who had claimed that my father-in-law would be bedridden for months, was astonished. She certainly believed now that Falun Dafa had miraculous power.
