Greece: Introducing Falun Gong During the Olympic Games in Athens (Part 2) (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners from many European countries, as well as Australia, Taiwan and the U.S.A., have held different activities in Athens during the Olympic Games to let people know about Falun Dafa and the persecution. In Athens' city centre, practitioners held a literature and art performance with traditional Chinese characteristics in the bustling Constitution Square, as well as practicing the exercises together. The gentle solo recitals on the bamboo flute and the young female practitioners who wore traditional Chinese costumes were constantly praised by pedestrians. Bursts of applause arose from spectators who formed several circles in the centre of the square, and they clapped for the small choir as well as the dancers. At another side of the square, dozens of Dafa practitioners demonstrated the exercises with the exercise music. Among the crowd who watched the performance, there were people constantly asking for materials and inquiring about the exercises as well as about the persecution in China.

"I believe there will be such a day!"

A Chinese woman who is living overseas brought her two French friends to the square. Upon seeing Dafa practitioners distributing materials, the practitioners explained to her about the persecution taking place in China. She then translated and explained to her friends. She told Dafa practitioners that persecuting Falun Gong is wrong. "It's good to see you practicing the exercises and explaining the facts during the Olympic Games and it should be done like this a lot more." One of her French friends said that as you do this in Greece this time, you should also do this in Tiananmen, Beijing, in 2008, especially the western Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioner who distributed the materials said, "I believe there will be such a day!" The French person answered, "I believe it is certain you will have such a day, too!"

During the Olympic Games, many Chinese people are visiting Athens. More than three hundred reporters from Mainland China are also there. Dafa practitioners used every chance to distribute leaflets and let people know the truth in as many places as possible, including on the streets, outside the subway, in restaurants and so on. Among the visiting Chinese people, some said, "We cannot believe there are so many Falun Gong practitioners in Athens." They were surprised that Falun Gong was so widely accepted outside of China and realized that they were deceived by their own leader.

Among local Chinese people, many of them were touched by Dafa practitioners' spirit of continuously introducing Falun Dafa, as well as letting people know the truth in the city inspite of the burning sun and hot weather. Some shop owners said that they would like to support Dafa and help practitioners distribute their leaflets. During the course of letting everyone know the facts, many Chinese people heard the truth and then understood clearly that Falun Gong practitioners don't do this for political reasons, nor are they against the Chinese government, but on the contrary, they are exposing Jiang's crimes of harming both ordinary citizens in addition to Falun Gong practitioners and providing many benefits to humankind including the Chinese people.
