By a German practitioner

On the 14th of August 2004, practitioners from Munich, Stuttgart, Regensburg and nearby areas gathered in Marinplatz Square to hold an anti-torture exhibition, with display boards and live torture exhibits. The activity served to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong conducted by the Jiang group in China.

It has been five years since the Jiang group initiated this oppressive persecution. According to reports on Minghui net, 1023 practitioners have been persecuted to death during the past five years and tens of thousands of practitioners have been sent to various kinds of labor camps, mental hospitals and prisons. There are also numerous practitioners detained in brainwashing classes. Simply because they believe in "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" they have been subjected to the Jiang criminal gang's policy of genocide. Cases of broken families are discovered and reported everyday.

Passersby and visitors were shocked by the torture methods exposed by practitioners. They accepted materials from practitioners and asked whether these things were still happening today. Being told that these things were taking place right now all over China, they were horrified. According to the organizer of this activity, the horrible torture methods demonstrated in this exhibition are just a few of over a hundred methods employed in China. A lot of tortures are so brutal and extreme that it is impossible to 'perform' them, and the reality exceeds people's imagination.

It was raining continuously, but this could not prevent the torture exhibition and exercise demonstration from taking place. A little disciple aged four distributed materials with her mother all throughout the activity. A lady from Switzerland told practitioners that she was shocked by the tragedy shown in the torture exhibition and moved by practitioners who doggedly continued in the rain. She hoped that practitioners would persevere and show more details about the Jiang group's persecution of Falun Gong to the world.

Quite a few Chinese visitors were wandering around in front of the exhibition. Most of them accepted the materials while some did not dare to take them but took photos instead. A girl did not know about the truth, but after a practitioner's explanation, she said she would have a look at the materials and took away a VCD.

While setting up before the event, a passerby came up to ask for the purpose of our cage when he saw two female practitioners having difficulty with it. When he knew it was for an exhibition exposing the Jiang group's persecution of Falun Gong, he was very happy to help put the cage together.

An elderly practitioner came by train to join the activity and asked to be one of the actors. After being shut in the cage for nearly four hours, she told us that now she understood more about what practitioners in China had to endure. What overseas practitioners were subjected to could not compare with those in China. She hoped that through what she simulated, more people would be awakened and join the action to stop the Jiang group's brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
