Wishing to contribute to the future society and to let more people benefit from "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," Falun Gong practitioners and teachers of Minghui School in Korea took the opportunity to organize a summer camp. They started preparing for the camp in July by creating a curriculum and textbook, decorating rooms with pictures and renting Audio/Visual equipment.

The young Falun Gong practitioners arrived in the camp on the morning of Aug. 15, 2004. Forty-five young Falun Gong practitioners, three teachers and ten volunteer Falun Gong practitioners held an opening ceremony for this first summer camp of the Minghui School.

During the three-day camp, children studied Falun Gong, practiced group exercises and learned songs including "I Am a Little Falun Gong Practitioner," "Be Saved" and "Coming for You." In art classes, they made lotus lanterns and handwrote "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The children participated enthusiastically in these activities. Every one of them studied the Falun Gong teachings diligently even though the days were very hot. The children took 30 minutes half to read the preface to the principles teachings of Falun Gong entitled, "On Buddha Law" in Chinese by following their teachers pronunciation. They all learned how to pronounce these Chinese words with such great enthusiasm that they soon finished the lesson. After their study group, the children played in mountain creeks in the afternoon and lit their self-made lotus lanterns in the evening in memory of the great spirits of Falun Gong practitioners who died in the persecution. At the end of the camp, every child wrote a letter to or drew a picture for Master Li to express his or her good wishes.

The carefully prepared three-day-curriculum taught the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" through stories, Fa-study, exercises, movies and games. Many Falun Gong practitioners made contributions to this activity by helping teach exercises and decorating the activity site, revealing the unselfish virtue of Falun Gong practitioners.
