Witnessing the Persecution of Liu Xifeng's Family: Wife Tortured to Death, Husband Missing, Child Placed in Orphanage (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The recent news of Wang Xiaodong, a Shenzhen City practitioner, being tortured to death shocked me a great deal. I want to report what happened to Wang Xiaodong and Liu Xifeng's family and appeal to rescue their son Liu Xiang. It seems that the police have sent the 11-year-old boy to the Shenzhen Orphanage.

Practitioners Liu and Wang were originally from the Northeast. They were both Shenzhen Nantou Middle School teachers. They had a son named Liu Xiang, now 11 years old. They had a loving family, but the Jiang group's persecution broke this family apart.

After July 20, 1999, Mr. Liu went to Beijing to appeal for an end to the injustice thrust upon the Falun Dafa practitioners. In order to avoid the police who were attempting to stop Falun Gong practitioners from appealing, he walked to Beijing. He suffered much from the trip. His feet were swollen from walking and he couldn't wear any shoes. It took him one and a half months to get to Beijing.

Ms. Wang arrived in Beijing to appeal in 2000. The police illegally detained and sentenced her to two years in a labor camp. She underwent extreme torture in the Nanshan Detention Center and later in the Sanshui Labor Camp. She suffered a mental breakdown from the torture and was released for treatment. When she came out, the power of Dafa healed her quickly and she actively participated in Dafa projects and clarifying the truth.

For their appeals in Beijing, the couple were both fired from their school. To avoid the policemen's harassment, they went into hiding. Their son's education was greatly disrupted.

Around January of 2002, Mr. Liu and fellow practitioners fell into a trap set by the Chinese National Security Bureau. The police arrested them in Buji, Shenzhen. Then the Shenzhen National Security Bureau staff cruelly tortured Mr. Liu, but he refused to answer their questions. The section chief of Shenzhen National Safety Bureau, Xiao Shizhong, planned to "transform" him but failed. The September 7, 2002 article from Clearwisdom.net called "Sadistic, Criminal and Unethical Treatment by Medical Personnel in Shenzhen City's Armed Police Hospital in Guangdong Province" revealed some of the tortures Mr. Liu went through, but he came out by holding firmly to his righteous thoughts. He left when the prison guards fell asleep. He walked right out of the Wujin Hospital and regained his freedom.

The police were constantly searching for Mr. Liu and Ms. Wang. In September 22, 2002, together with a young university instructor, Mr. Wang from Shenzhen, they were arrested.

As of now no one knows the whereabouts of Mr. Liu and Mr. Wang, and the police tortured Wang Xiaodong to death after she went on a 4-month hunger strike in the Shenzhen Nanshan Detention Center. It is said that the police sent their 11 year old son to the Shenzhen Orphanage.
