My Understandings After Studying "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference"

(Clearwisdom.net) I gained many insights from studying, "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference." Teacher said,

"With human beings... when a being can obtain the Fa today in history, it's no ordinary thing--he's so fortunate! But as soon as he loses the Fa, do you know what he faces? It's really horrific, because when he fails to fulfill the major responsibilities and the huge missions that were bestowed upon him, then, accordingly, that's like the inverse of a being's Consummation, and he will truly have to enter the gate of no-life. You folks can't just go and abandon a person without trying hard enough. No matter what kind of mistakes someone has made, or what kind of a person he is, I still want to give him a chance."

Amidst this shameless evil persecution, there is still a group of practitioners who are unable to let go of their ordinary human attachments and are unwilling to overcome tribulations arranged by the evil. How dangerous a state these practitioners are in!

Since we have a compassionate heart and follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in our cultivation, we should do our best to help these practitioners overcome their tribulations and return to the path of cultivation. If we can indeed lead them back on track, we will not only be saving them, but we will also have more practitioners to clarify the facts, and this will allow even more beings to be saved. Because they were once Dafa disciples who had believed in Teacher and Dafa, and had also received benefits from this practice, it should be easier for them to understand the facts and support us.

Therefore, I would like to share a few suggestions regarding this issue.

1. It is best to have at least two practitioners present while clarifying the facts. This way one practitioner can supplement the other's points. One can also send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate evil interference while the other breaks through the person's attachments by clarifying the facts.
2. If the results aren't what you anticipated, don't give up. Try again. Now that the evil has become less, there shouldn't be any problem if we do things with Dafa disciples' righteous thoughts and actions.
3. Study the Fa more! Teacher has already emphasized this point five times in his most recent lectures. We should really improve on this issue.
4. If during clarifying the facts we come across people who use vile language, we shouldn't be so quick to refute them. We should remember to be compassionate and talk to them with a peaceful tone of voice. Teacher said, "While working, your tone of voice, your kindheartedness, and your reasoning can change a person's heart, whereas commands never could!" 5. Teacher said, "As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts. Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything. When your righteous thoughts are strong enough the old forces can't do a thing." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.") I believe that if each practitioner's heart is steadfast and filled with righteous thoughts, and we actively clarify the facts with compassion for sentient beings, we can save more beings and eliminate the evil much faster!
