Public Security Bureau Officials in Tanghai County, Hebei Province, Persecute Dafa Disciples and Cover Up Their Crimes

Liu Jianrong and Feng Yuqin, Falun Dafa practitioners in Tanghai County No. 9 Farm, of Tangshan City, in Hebei Province, were detained on April 6, 2004, by the No. 9 Farm police station and sent to the Tanghai County Public Security Bureau. According to reliable information, at 6:40 p.m. of that day, Liu Jianrong fell from the third floor of the Public Security Bureau building. Liu Jianrong was then sent to the Tangshan Second Hospital, where she remained in a coma for 24 hours. Her injuries involved many broken bones, including a broken pelvis. She also underwent an operation to remove her spleen. She remains in the hospital today.

At the time of the incident, vice County Executive Han Jianmin of Tanghai County and other government officials were all on site. They actively covered up the evidence about how Liu Jianrong fell from the building. The vice director of Tanghai County's Public Security, Kong Weizhong, went to the hospital's front gate in person to monitor and record all visitors who went to see Liu Jianrong. As a result, Falun Dafa practitioner Han Cuixiang was illegally arrested while attempting to visit Liu Jianrong. Whenever Falun Dafa practitioners went to see Liu, they were arrested on the spot.

Now Feng Yuqin and Han Cuixiang are being detained and tortured in a Tanghai brainwashing program. The public impression is that the Tanghai Public Security Bureau doesn't bother arresting criminals instead they are diverting all their manpower and resources to arrest Falun Dafa practitioners.
