Enlightenment from Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts

(Clearwisdom.net) Prior to beginning to my practice of Falun Gong, I had many diseases: kidney inflammation, rheumatism, chronic intestinal inflammation, ringing in the ears and other chronic diseases. I had been receiving treatment in hospitals in Shenyang and had taken a lot of western and traditional Chinese medicines, but none of them helped. Family problems like not getting paychecks from my work place and my daughter's troubles in marriage hit me hard. I lost hope in my life and held on for the sake of my two children.

On May 2, 1996, I was fortunate to learn about Falun Dafa. Practicing Falun Dafa is really amazing. I read the book on the first day and did the exercises on the second day. The first time I finished doing the four sets of exercises, I felt extremely good. On the third day, I felt that something was spinning in my abdomen. Later on, the physical changes became more and more obvious. Even today, I clearly remember feeling an object spinning across my head and feet. I felt that both my legs were so light when walking. The whole area on my back felt hot, as if I was carrying a heated blanket. No matter whether I slept in the daytime or night, I felt as though I was on a boat. At that time, my whole heart and body felt very comfortable. Everyday was wonderful for me and the feeling of sickness had disappeared like clouds and smoke. Falun Dafa gave me a new life, and I want everyone to know: Falun Dafa is good!

This huge change was observed by my husband, and he took it to heart. He told other people that I benefited both physically and spiritually through practicing Falun Gong. After July 20, 1999, Jiang's regime began persecuting Falun Dafa. At the end of 1999, I went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa and was arrested. I was detained for more than three weeks. I suffered persecution from Jiang's regime and was fined 5000 Yuan. I refused to acknowledge the arrangement of the old forces and did not allow my family members to pay the fine. The police then withheld my pension. They did so for sixteen to seventeen months, not leaving me a penny to cover my living expenses.

My spouse began to fear for our safety, and thus for a few years when I went out to validate Dafa, he would try to stop me. In the first two years, I did not let him know what I was doing, but later I could not hide it anymore. Each time when I went out, he would say unpleasant words. Sometimes I did not uphold my xinxing [mind or heart nature, character] well and even quarreled with him. Later through studying the Fa, I understood that my spouse's attitude came from interference from evil elements in other dimensions. Thus, each time when sending forth righteous thoughts, I added one thought to eliminate the evil elements behind my spouse in other dimensions. When I finished sending forth righteous thoughts, he stopped saying bad words. I continued for one week and he stopped saying bad words. Later on, I did not add that thought during sending forth righteous thoughts, and he once again started to say bad words. Now each time when I send forth righteous thoughts, I always add that thought. My spouse's personality has completely changed. We have been married for nearly forty years, and his temperament had gotten bad - he easily got upset or angry, rarely had a smile, and constantly felt frustrated. Recently he has changed; he seldom becomes angry and quietly does housework without being asked to do so. When other practitioners came, his attitude became better; when I went out to do Dafa work, he would say nothing. Sometimes, he would start to say something but change his mind.

I understood that my sending forth righteous thoughts eliminated the evil elements in his other dimensions, so he felt better and had righteous thoughts. I realized that I was in fact saving him.
